Santa's Scarlet Sack | Holiday Magic Item

Looking for a festive magic item with a touch of holiday chaos? Check out Santa's Scarlet Sack by downloading the PDF below!

Santa’s Scarlet Sack is a reservoir of holiday chaos, brimming with magic items waiting to be given away. The sack gives freely but never guarantees the outcome. When you draw a gift, the magic chooses what you receive, and its holiday magic makes it clear that these treasures are meant to be shared with the adventuring group rather than hoarded by one hero.

The bright red cloth feels impossibly soft and warm, as if it remembers every winter it has endured. Gold cords cinch the top closed but when you reach into it, your hand plunges far deeper than the fabric should allow. You feel wrapped boxes, ribboned parcels, and strange shapes that shift the moment you touch them. The sack radiates generous but unpredictable magic. Each gift inside exists only because the sack wants it to exist, tugged from the world’s collective cheer and wrapped for whoever dares to reach in. You never know what you’ll pull out.

DM Note!

This magic item is designed for one player to hand out gifts to the group during each Long Rest. If you want to lower or raise the power level, adjust the items on the Holiday Gifts table to match your campaign or one shot. Swap in weaker consumables for a lighter touch!
