Legendary Artifact. These dormant artifacts will grow in power with the player and are very powerful items! General advancement is to awaken an artifact by some feat of strength or backstory tie in between level 10-15 and exalt between levels 16-20.

The Butcher’s Mercy is a jagged cleaver made of cold, blue steel with a bone handle wrapped in leathered sinew. Its blade bears faint gouges and teeth-like notches as if gnawed by an anticipating butcher. When thrown, the weapon whistles through the air before sinking deep into flesh, refusing to fall until its wielder commands it. A sharp tug on the corded grip causes the cleaver to wrench free and return to its master’s hand, leaving a trail of blood in its wake.
