(Find Familiar) Nibbleshine | Creature Statblock

Scholars refer to creatures like Nibbleshine as “Chipped Star Shards,” rare anomalies that form when cosmic energy fuses with raw elemental material. The Nibbleshine, however, find these ideas ridiculous. It has no memory of being part of a star, or any cosmic event. It only knows it exists and that existing is pretty neat. Especially when existing involves nibbling on snacks, shiny trinkets and annoying their companions by nibbling their bootlaces.
In truth, the Nibbleshine were born from the shattered remains of a long-dead star that crashed into the Elemental Plane of Earth eons ago. While most fragments lie dormant, a few retain a lingering spark that refuses to fade. Over time, this spark will awaken, grow, and become something more: a mischievous glimmering creature with an interesting past it neither remembers nor particularly cares about.
Chipped Star Shard
A Nibbleshine is an irregularly shaped stone with two large expressive eyes and a small mouth that seems too animated for a rock. Despite its lack of limbs, the Nibbleshine can hop, roll, and wiggle, often leaving a faint trail of glimmering stardust when excited. Its voice gives a soft crystal-like hum, though it prefers to communicate with its expressive eyes, by shifting its color, and with subtle vibrations. When it’s curious, which is often, the Nibbleshine pulses with a bright eager glow. When annoyed, it makes a series of disgruntled jingles that sound like an angry wind chime.
Variant: Nibbleshine Familiar
A Nibbleshine can serve as a find familiar option for Warlocks with Pact of the Chain. A Nibbleshine can also be used as a Find Familiar, at the Dungeon Master's discretion.
