IMO it’s 1. JJK 2. Chainsaw Man in terms of the Top2 rn. Chainsaw Man needs to get to the latter parts of the manga in the anime but they’re pretty close. JJK is just such a well written series, it has everything.

It's probably the best new gen Shonen if you ask me. Idk if it's the best new gen anime though. Tbh, I probably won't have an answer until I see a few of them come to an end. Chainsaw Man has potential and I like Vinland Saga a lot too. Blue Lock is also quietly one of my favorite anime out rn. I don't watch too much new shit tho tbh

For me personally it’s a top 3 new gen, but I believe Vinland saga is the best even though the manga has been around for awhile

JJK easily my #1 ongoing new anime. Demon Slayer is great but its more for women and kids, Chainsawman is great but its for weird meme ppl and simps. AoT would be #1 but considering its a decade old I wouldn't call it newgen even tho its still ongoing

JJK has a total of 33 episodes on Crunchyroll. No way y’all are comparing it to shows that have 100-200 eps (MHA; Black Clover; Boruto). The story/ character motivations aren’t there at all as well as character progression yet. So, how the hell can it be the best!?! Y’all act like this anime can’t have a bad season 3 and make y’all never talk about it again ( Promise Neverland and 7 Deadly Sins)

What other new gen has a char as iconic as gojo. You know the series is good when the mc isn’t the one saving the day 24/7 and is put in the background to let other chars shine and actually takes Ls. Not to mention jjk villians will be more iconic then the big 3 by the end of jjk. Yuji is still the goat tho
You just described most new gen anime where the background characters do the most work and shine more, like say DS (rengoku, tengen), AOT, MHA, vinland saga, Bleach if you consider the new arc new gen which it isn't but most of the background characters do the work and shine in the new arc and you've literally ripped on ichigo for training while the other characters fight (win or lose), that logic applies to most anime and JJK certainly doesn't do it the best but it sure is goated. Rengoku was more iconic than gojo, so was all might. Gojo isn't an iconic character, he isn't a symbol of anything to be an icon or atleast he isn't portrayed as such, especially compared to all might. If you mean icon as in popularity then he still isn't the most. Sukuna the best and most consistent villain isn't even close to aizen or madara, he's not even at pains level. Yuji is a mid mc as of rn. As for the best new gen anime, i agree, although one punch monster association arc is far better and will be better when animated. Awful logic.
For me it's a top 4 new gen shonen with CSM, MHA and Dr. Stone. And I'm talking about the mangas for all of them
JJK is good, but I prefer Chainsaw Man for my motley crew shonen. It's too bad the CSM anime had so many ugly 3D scenes. Manga vs manga definitely CSM.

Yeah people are over hyping JJK it doesn’t have 40 episodes. We do this with EVERY. New anime. One Punch Man, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, MHA (S1 &S2) … etc we always over hype it after 1/2 seasons and then y’all switch to the new hottest anime that’s getting views and overhype that.
If this ain’t the truth, I don’t know what is. None of them could ever compare to the OGs that stand the test of time.
has the best fights, best characters , best power system and best shounen main char. Safe to say at the end of its run it might even surpass one piece as number 1 who knows . All I know is JjK has the best villians in any manga. Rejoice JJKChads we will be taking over and claiming our #1 spot. I think it's probably Attack on Titan. If there was ever a person that never watched anime and I wanted to get them into it, that would easily be my first suggestion. From episode one your hooked. It has the most unique story to come out in a long time, well developed characters, and great animation. It feels really well balanced so it's not carried by just it's animation like demon slayer or just a few popular characters like JJK. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a new gen anime that stands on the same stage.
AOT manga started in 2009 so it’s no longer NewGen after 2019.
Jjk is not the best new gen simply due to the fact it is heavily reliant on Gojo’s popularity as an “ op “ character. when you really think of the rest of the cast, itadori is pretty boring for an MC, the girl of the group doesnt seem even remotely close to power to the other 2 guys, the side cast is just not that interesting outside of geto and mahito. I would put my hero above it even specially with the newest season, a lot of the characters can bring something to the table. endeavor, bakugo, midoriya, all might, shigaraki, all of them have some importance to name a few.
Mha feels like a mid marvel series while jjk feels like games of thrones. My kiddie academia could never step up . Deku is top 5 worst mcs I’ve seen
Shonen? Yeah. In general? Fuck idk prob not tbh . There has been a LOT of banger anime in this gen. JJK imo changed up a lot of the general Shonen formula while also following the standard when it needs to and not to just be differnt. Besides that it's characters, fight choreography, and story are just top tier. Black Clover for shonen gets an honorable mention imo, cuz the world building in that show really is solid. It's not OP but the best of the new gen shonen imo, even though i dont fuck with the plot/characters for the most part lmao.

At the moment, yes, the characters are fun and engaging, the animation is top tier and it does a great job world building. In a lot of ways it follows the shonen formula but there are little things it does to set itself apart and it feels fresh. But I think when the manga ends and the anime eventually wraps up it'll fall off, from front to back there are other series that manage to stick a cleaner landing.

Let's be real, if you watch Bleach, Naruto or any Shonen anime in the past 2 decades, jjk is just another recycled Shonen anime to a new younger audience. So yeah, it is the best "new gen" anime out there
But does it better, can’t tell you how many times I’ve slept through the big 3 beginner arcs esp. Bleach
