Poll: Do we delay?
Uh oh... there's that dreaded word. DELAY.
No, but honestly how would you guys feel about me delaying the Steam release a little bit? Before I was hoping to release it somewhere in June to fit the setting of the game, but I've noticed a few downsides.
Do we delay the game by a few months?
Downsides
There's a few reasons why June is looking less appealing to me now.
Not enough wishlists - They say your game needs at least 7000 wishlists on Steam or else it will be ignored by Steam algorithm. We're currently at 3200 and I might need some more time to build up these wishlists before releasing.
More content - There are still a few things I really want to put into the game. These include a lot of really nice art for the finale, more uses for the magic camera, more interactions with your friends, maybe a camping scene, ect.
Edited for Steam release - Although I think everything in CMW is ok with Steam T.O.S. I might want to make some minor edits to the game to avoid the ban hammer.
Scared Potter?
Of course, it could also just be because I'm slightly nervous about releasing to such a big platform. I've been working on CMW for years and putting it out there for the world to see is kinda intimidating. That's why I wanted to ask you guys. =)

Sadly I mostlikly can't wishlist it. Because of region ban.
I prefer to see games "finished" before they release, vs. getting patch after patch to fix things or DLC to add content that should have just been there in the first place. 馃し In the end though... release when YOU feel it's ready. There's always a reason to delay the release, find the reason not to delay. 馃檪
Take a year if you need to just take some time off to spend with your family within that year the game isn't too important and we can wait
A delay is the safe option, plus if you rush it out when it's still not ready it could cause problems
I don't really have an educated opinion on this, but I do know there is a YouTube channel called sexpositivegaming that covers stuff like this. I don't know if reaching out to her might be of some use to reach people who may not realize how close you are to a full release.
I want what is best for the game and your studio. What's a couple more months?
If you release what you have then everyone can enjoy your product now then the subscribers will increase and your poll number go up. You can update and release updates later like everyone else
Eh, initial launch is really important for these sorts of games when it comes to steam
