I've been going back and forth for a while now on how the cabin interiors should look. The current ones feel a bit too dark and don't quite match the cozy, light-hearted vibe of the game. But finding a style that feels just right and matches the exterior background art has been surprisingly tricky.
Below are three different style attempts. Each with a screenshot / short video clip. Please let me know which you think looks the best.
Current style
This is what we've had up until now. Not bad, but I have some issues with it. I think it's too detailed compared to the outside backgrounds we have in game. I also think it's too dark and not exactly cozy.
This version is a lot closer to the existing background style—cleaner lines, brighter colors, and simpler shapes. I like the direction, but I’m not sure if it quite hits the sweet spot yet.
Finally we have this one which I think is very charming, but is such a departure from the other art style that entering from the outside feels jarring due to the change in style. Check out the below video to see what I mean:

Either 2 or 3. These look more lived in with the various item tossed around the room.

I like option 3, but maybe adjust the color tone a bit more cooler. Maybe make some covers on the beds plaid/flannel. It always seems a lot of flannel and plaid coloration is used in American camping imagry.

The outside of El Presidente's cabin does not match the inside at all. For example the backdoor to the adjacent room is shown at the straight backside inside of his cabin, while it clearly is situated along the right, sloped roofside on the outside. Also, until now it is not possible to enter the small sideroom[ maybe his bathroom?] situated under the sleeping-attic.

Yeah I know, unfortunately I think I'm going leave this as it is. I like how the cabin looks from the outside and the inside and I don't think people would mind too much. Also true you cannot enter the bathroom at the moment. I might add that in later, who knows :)

It would be interesting if there were some dialogue or interaction with the girls when they're in the cabins.

Yeah it's the plan to start adding more content to the cabins but first I want them to look nice =)

I think a mixture of option 1 and 2, where the cabins look more lived in. I like the overall aesthetic of option 2, option 3 makes the beds look.. I don’t know, too prim and proper? I don’t know it’s different I guess. I think it’s the blankets (or mattresses?) on the bottom levels matching the color of the mattresses. The flow-y look to it looks a little strange to me I guess
