From Colored Sketch to Digital Painting

So I was talking about Affinifur stuff earlier with someone and it made me wanna do something with one of my girls and I had this sketch lying around of an outfit concept I drew up for Retsis way way earlier this year. So I set out to do a colored sketch (just something to give it color and get it out there)

But I tried a new thing... and I love how it turned out. Usually I would stop at how the left image looks. This is coloring over a traditional sketch of mine and I usually stop without adding any particular details.

But I had the thought to paint it and continue (because I've been delving into digital painting a tiny bit every now and then with projects) and wow.... it's so much better, like - I can't believe I did that, y'know?Now to try and duplicate it with another piece xD
