Buenos Días amigos míos.
1. Spanish author I want to read: San Juan de la Cruz
Highly regarded in the Spanish literary canon for his mystical poetry about God and the soul.
Also was the mentee of St. Teresa (of Bernini fame).
I want to pick up this Spanish Penguin edition, I'm also looking for the English version if anybody knows if they released one (?).
2. Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh
Used to watch this video a ton back in the day. So great.
3. Chuck Palahniuk on Soft White Underbelly
Well look who it is. Insane stories.
4. Gonna go check out the Old Florida Bookshop
Beautiful looking shop.

Not into much newer post-punk but couldn’t stop listening to this track last week.
Reminiscent of The Church, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Red Lorry Yellow Lorry.
G'morning chap

San Juan de la Cruz is the real deal. There’s this part that I heard a Zen Buddhist teacher quote in perfect Spanish: “ Senda del monte Carmelo, espíritu de perfección: nada, nada, nada, nada, nada, nada… y aún en el monte, nada. ” English translation: “ The path of Mount Carmel, spirit of perfection: nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing… and even on the Mount, nothing.”
The Palahniuk interview is his best ever.
Had no idea that Celtic Frost song had a video. I caught them live when they were touring Monotheist though and Kreator supported. Brilliant pairing. That's a great interview with Chuck Palahniuk too. I've only just finished reading Choke. Great list!
