Its Weird cause I actually find myself agreeing with the criticism you have. But at the same time, I strongly remember how I firmly felt shaken and really enjoyed the book when I read it two-three years ago. Maybe it’s time for a re-read. But I do also think that the first 100 pages or so are really intriguing and well thought out.
