Holy the Firm by Annie Dillard PATRON ONLY REVIEW
Recommended to me by Chris Via AKA Leaf by Leaf.
This review is a little meandering, as you can see I'm almost working through this book in real-time. It's a short but very complex, masterfully written book on life, nature, time and God. A meditation and interrogation.
Recommended for those who enjoyed: A Season in Hell by Arthur Rimbaud, Natsume Soseki's Kusamakura, J.A. Baker's The Peregrine, The Georgics by Virgil, and probably, (as I haven't read it) Walden by Thoreau.

Loved the review. I finished the book yesterday. I think it’s fitting you meander through this since the book meanders too. It’s constantly searching and reaching yet never concluding. A must for revisiting. It’s so short you don’t know what hit you when it’s over.
Intrigued already by seeing Kusamakura in the recommendations
Awesome review, as always.
Cliff, do yourself a favor and read Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard as well!
