Margery Kempe by Robert Glück / PATRON ONLY REVIEW

An explicit but sweet story about a 15th century Christian Mystic her relationship with Jesus.

And when I say she knows Jesus, I mean in the Biblical sense.

Bob was my thesis advisor for my MFA. I haven't actually read much of his writing though. I'll pick this one up. Also, you should totally review Acker and Cooper. My Mother Demonology is good but Empire of the Senseless would probably be a better one to start with. As far as Cooper goes, I'd be interested in your take on The Sluts.

I was registered to be at that zoom meeting, and was really looking forward to it since I picked this book up just recently, but unfortunately could not get out of work in time. I was pretty bummed about it but I’m still excited to read the book. Thanks for the review.

I read the book "The Last Temptation of Christ" . It was a fictional account of what would happen if Christ was not crucified and married Mary Magdalene. I also saw the film. I am a Christian and it did not make me upset because it was a fiction book. The film "Dogma" itself was controversial because this and the latter pissed off the Catholics. I read books that were shocking but that what draws some readers. I read books because I love books. Anyway , great review! Have a great weekend and stay safe!

The Christian writer G.K. Chesterton has a lot of good writing on the apparent paradox of considering Christ as both God and Man, it's not for everyone but I always get a lot of of it. His novels are also fantastic, especially 'The Man who was Thursday" .

Have you read or plan to read Margery Kempe's "autobiography"? Probably one of the first autobiographical book written in English language. Thanks for the great review. I'll definitely read this and maybe check out the author from the title.
