Thanks for the support everyone, Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm extremely grateful to everyone for all the help, thank you.
Even with the upcoming transition, almost everyone has stayed onboard supporting Better than Food.
What was the last thing you read that was Better Than Food? Please leave in the comments if you'd be so kind.
Wishing you all the best in your forthcoming chapters.

Yes, I remember being very moved years ago while reading Lewis’s grieving process. I believe he also wrote from the the other side of that emotion with Surprised by Joy.
A Heart So White by Javier Marias. So good. Long ass beautiful sentences; thoughts within thoughts; an event leading to digressions about truth, habits among couples, the consequence of secrets, etc. Beautiful.
I've heard about this book for awhile now, I've got to read it, thanks for the recommendation!
Not fiction, but for being a glass half empty kind of guy, The Better Angels of our Nature by Steven Pinker (2011) was welcome relief. I hope he'll write an updated edition or postscript at some point. Last great fiction was Saramago's The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis.
Röda Rummet (The Red Room) by August Strindberg. Strindberg is one of a kind. He takes on every aspect of the human life, and he dose it with a intellectual brilliance beyond compare. And the prose, man, the prose ... Genius. Also, I challenge you to finish the book without having ordered a ticket to Stockholm.
Currently reading Room to Dream David Lynch's biography/autobiography. It's pretty fascinating. Each chapter consists of a section presented as a traditional biography and then another section with Lynch's recollection of events. I've actually slowed down my progress a bit because I don't want it to end.
The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee I think rereading with new eyes outside of high school has blown me away and has by far been my favorite read of the year. Better than food man
Just finished V. by Thomas Pynchon! Absolutely incredible
The Return - Roberto Bolano
Incendies by Wajdi Mouawad
Naomi by Tanizaki. Better than food ;)
Best of luck in this new epoque, Clifford. I read a selection of Paradise Lost for a course on British Literature. It was absolutely better than food, and at some point in time I will read the whole thing.
A Personal Matter by Kenzaburo Oe.
That’d have to be Robert Musil’s The Confusions of Young Törless. It was his first novel and it’s dark, twisted and unrelenting. Great stuff
The watchmen comic book was better than food!
