NEED YOUR OPINION (Spoke with Investor)

What would you like an expanded version of BTF to be?

What if I incorporated more travel, books, interviews with authors and coffee?

keep it fun and simple . develop theme music or re-ocurring format , don't get roped into hum drum conversations with authors wanting to sell books. we got that, don't forget your a reader.. a really good one. thanks for sharing.

I think one of the really important things is that you don't try to do too much; use your basic concepts, the interests, and add one at a time. Make it work. I would like for this to remain the comfortable and in-depth book and literature conversation that it is! But adding some travel and diving into or, rather, sprawling out would be fantastic.

Yes - I'm a master of taking on too much. It's a great reminder. Thanks man!

Similar to what Jordan Peterson does, it would be cool to have you do monthly live chats so you could address fans questions.

I’d love to see you try out some new formats, perhaps invite other creators onto the channel to discuss books.

Idea: in person discussions over coffee with writers or people involved in publishing if you can reach out to them. Like the first five minutes being you and a guest roasting and preparing the coffee while talking about McCarthy. I’m think of Seinfeld’s project where he and other comedians go grab coffee in his car while telling jokes

Hey Cliff, these are (possibly) great news! My suggestion would be that you keep it as free as possible. Don't restrict yourself to specific content, such as only books, travel, coffee, etc. Instead, try to get more content out, about anything you find interesting. Some videos on movies you like, series, food, culture and history in general... I think this would be a great way to expand your audience and get more people to know the channel. While the books will always be the main object of the channel, the random videos you put out will certainly complement it and make it make it more interdisciplinary

Woah - all those names popping up again. That's crazy. Those films are so bizarre - I'll take it all into consideration, all good, thanks Michael!

The prospect of incorporating more travel and exploration of the author's background as well as the contemporary local culture sounds absolutely wonderful. Your review of The Willows was what originally turned me on to you channel and remains one of my favourite videos of yours along the episode on Undying Love and the reading of The Delicate Prey, all pieces which already sort of go in the direction you talked about; giving a nice background on the respective novel (if not intellectually, then emotionally) and building on that seems like a terrific next step. What needs to stay? At the risk of sounding cheesy I'm going to say you - your stories, experiences, personality etc. . Don't start to pull yourself out of your videos for the sake of percieved professionalism. You might be cautious about hyping yourself up to some tryhard celebrity as you should be but your personality is what gives the show it's own character and helps us watchers connect to the explored content. Thanks for the great work, take care!

I love the ideas of book club and audiobooks. Do whatever man! It's been an amazing experience to have you review obscure books!
