Better Than Friday - 314

Good evening everyone, how're you?

It has been one hell of a week.

Yesterday morning, my elderly dad-in-law, up in small-town Michigan, was on his way into his coffee shop, same routine as usual.

In the parking lot, he was assaulted, unprovoked, by some rando with a crescent wrench. Hit him in the head.

Luckily, there were several witnesses, and the guy was caught. Recently paroled from prison. After losing quite a bit of blood and getting several staples in his head, my dad-in-law is doing ok. I still can't believe it.

May the guy be drawn & quartered.

Stay safe out there y'all. This world is losin it.

4. The Screamers - "Vertigo", found via @50ftquennie

   The Screamers were a stunning synth-punk band from the late 70s.

   Total electricity. They never recorded an album, but their live shows were legendary.

   Here's an informative documentary about them from the channel Bo Tiger.

5. Nacha Pop - Lucha de Gigantes

   My friend Fernando told me that, allegedly, this is the last song Roberto Bolaño listened to before passing away.

Staring at an "Ostentation" of Peacocks roosting in the trees.

Apparently, that's a term for a group of peacocks, believe it or not.
