Philip K. Dick - The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch (Patron-Only Early Access/Ad-Free)
A story about alternate realities accessed via drugs.
Tragic and comedic, lucid and bonkers.
This is the first novel I've read by the renowned Science Fiction author Philip K. Dick.
Many thanks to my friend and patron Rob for gifting me the book.

Definitely recommend The Divine Madness of Philip K. Dick (Inner Lives) to go with Valis !
I'll be sure to look into it, thank you very much for the recommendation!
Great stuff. And I like how with every new review you get another 60 or so VERY URGENT book recommendations. Ha. I feel your pain.
Thank you! Totally haha, but hey it's part of the fun of the project.
Fantastic review as usual! Glad you enjoyed it. My other PKD favorites are: Ubik (very similar to Stigmata in my opinion—psychic corporation shenanigans and strange chemicals) and Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said. 10/10 recommend. I find myself weaving in a PKD or 2 every year on my reading list. PKD independently arrived at simulation theory/the matrix in 1977 before his death. Highly, highly recommend you or anyone else check out this documentary on his life. It’s not too long and very well made. Cheers! https://youtu.be/bwUIr37sLAw?si=UFmmjQxwt8I1Py_Y
Thanks very much for the kind words Benjamin, and for the documentary, insight and info. I'll be sure to check it out. I've got Ubik on the shelf, might be the next one.
Great Review! Glad you enjoyed the book.
Thanks very much Rob! And thank you so much for the book. Really enjoyed it.
you should read the Valis books and A Scanner Darkly. I need to read Three Stigmata
The VALIS books and his experiences really fascinate me. Very spooky and strange. He was very ahead of his time.
