Better Than Friday - 245
G'Evening ladies and gents, how's your Friday?
All is fine here - Re-reading Gibson's 'Neuromancer' (Paid Link).
Holds up quite well. Can't wait to review...
Meanwhile -
1. Book to Read: Lost in the Funhouse by John Barth (Paid Link)
Classic postmodern metafiction by an author I've not yet read who recently passed away.
Rest in Peace.
2. Abel Ferrara loaded on Conan O'Brien
This is so hard to watch but it's a golden moment in television.
"Abel Ferrara will be right back."
3. Medusa scene from Clash of the Titans (1981)
Still slitheringly unsettling.
Here's the animator Ray Harryhausen discussing her.
4. Sisters of Mercy - Some Kind of Stranger
Overwrought, but what a great riff...
5. Hart Crane met H.P. Lovecraft
Hell of a combination, no?
Thanks to friend and Patron Erik for informing me!
