Better Than Friday - 236
Good evening everyone - Here's some stuff to accompany you into the weekend.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
1. Book to read - this A.P. Sinnet collection (Paid Link)
I've not yet read the Theosophist A.P. Sinnet. Henry Miller listed his 'Esoteric Buddhism' in 'The Books in My Life', along with many other excellent titles, and even his to-be-read list at the end.
2. SWANS - Beautiful Child live in Hamburg
I saw this clip in Kill Your Idols when I was about 14 or 15 and it changed my perception of what music could be. One of the heaviest things I've seen and heard.
3. Michael Silverblatt on his love of reading
"The books I love the most made it harder for me to live."
Woah...
Great talk.
4. The King in Yellow Audiobook
Found a fine audio accompaniment to the classic Weird Tale - Review coming soon.
Illuminated texts from a Rennaissance Alchemist.
Severing the Head of the King - what a title, no?
Sent by friend and patron Nico - Thanks!
Had a rare up-close encounter with a Roseate Spoonbill
Strangest bird I've ever seen.

Blowing my mind..again. swan-that drummer! The Solis- spectacular, luv the philosopher tree, Silverblatt...tough childhood but obviously full hearted book lover with a good memory. thanks for sharing, keep it up and happy reading.
Nice post. Silverblatt is tough to listen to in my opinion. I’ve tried to get through a lot of his videos on YT and I can’t.
Yeah I get it, I only recently started listening to him. I don't share all his convictions but I found some things he said in that talk remarkably sharp.
