GTA 5 New Update 3725 - Revert Still Works
Just a quick video to confirm that the revert method is still working.
If you missed the guide on how to back up your game files, watch this video here: that video was to prepare you for the updates in the future. Don't skip that video as there are more updates from Rockstar incoming.
Important: If you have already updated to game version v3725 without a backup, you will have to wait for Script Hook V, LSPDFR, and RagePluginHook to update. Once everything is working again, BACK UP YOUR GAME FILES immediately. It is not uncommon for Rockstar to update multiple times in December, so be prepared. Good luck!

so does this method work if for example I redownload the game but I made a backup of 3586 and all of my mods back then? so ,with that backup can I just play in that version and everything will run fine? just asi it used to
Possibly, but the problem is, depending how you bought the game, Steam or Epic for example might try to update your game. If you are on Retail, it probably will not work. If you have 3586 now, your best bet is to copy the files as the video shows and store those in a folder. You might as well update your game (this will not effect mods folder) then revert back with the files pertaining to 3586. You have to make sure that LSPDFR, RageHook and Script Hook V all match that game version. Worse comes to worse, if you have to update your game, go ahead and follow the video anyways as you might want to revert in February or March of this year.
This is why it’s always good to have those backup copies of GTAV. With those backup copies, you can always pull the 4-5 files for Steam, or the 3 files for Epics, copy them, and then drop them into your main directory, and/or your updated version of GTAV, and bam, your reverted. That’s how I did it after this 2nd unplanned update. Mikes always keeping us up to date. Also, I launch my Rage through my Stream Deck as well. Have been for a long time. It’s easier that way imo. When I try to load gta through steam without rage like you did in the begining of this video, it is telling me to install battle eye. What am I suppose to do for that?
You might have removed Battleeye somehow. It should be in your regular files. If it is asking you to install Battleeye, you might have to verify integrity of game files through Steam. It won't mess with your mods when you do that. Once you get that installed you need to disable it. My Battleeye probably did not update during this recording. so i think i messed up. my game updated and i did not have backup files. i tried to revert back to v3586 and maybe it worked maybe it didnt i dont know but i kept getting advanced hook errors when it tried to hook els. id get “id3” exception. so i updated shv rph and lspdfr and verified game integrity and moved my mods over to it and retried it. yet again i got the same els error. any recommendations?
maybe by moving my mods and plugins over to the updated directory i re-corrupted it? i dont know. id really appreciate it if i could just get a simple 3586 backup.
