MPP: Battle Painting
Heyo everyone!
Spent a lot of time on this the past two+ weeks!
It's gotta be one of the mostambitious pieces I've put into MPP and one of the more ambitious pics I've ever drawn.
I wanted to draw something reminiscent of those old medieval paintings of battles.
In the game we'll do a slow left-right pan with some music.
This painting exists above the two armors I drew last month!
This is likely all we'll see of the wolves in the whole game.
" Huff " ( the horror book in chapter 2 ) also depicts wolves but that's very clearly drawn as horror/fantasy and is optional content most people will miss ( Since they will pick the sex education book most likely! ) This is actual war/art history depicting them.
We see their flag and some of the weapons they might have used against our pig friends.
I drew this in a very textured sort of cartoony style so it looks like it was drawn from memory!

The addition of a wolf using a man/pig catcher is absolutely terrifying very cool
I figured the wolves must use weapons other than claws since the pigs use such heavy armors. So I decided scary spiky clubs/ morning stars fit them well. Man catchers look so damn horrifying visually, and I think it makes sense for the wolves to kinda use them to hold the bulky pigs in place or pull them out of their positions!
Love this, it's so cool, especially the kings little armor set!

Yes, finally we get a historic history Section About the war with the pigs and the wolves. This is like the Most interesting part of the world to me, besides Emelie Family blood line and all. Please tell me This section is going to be a very in depth story History lesson, like Victoria Sex Ed Lessons.🙏
It's amazing how the drawing makes the story feel real. That armor! You feel the whole story behind it just by looking at it, for real. The art is everything ❤️.(on my first run i did chose the horror book, peak)

Wow this is such an incredible piece!! Please tell me the progress will appear in the goodies post, because I would love to see how you even began to compose this!! Ive been so fascinated by how you add your characters into the pieces, mostly because when I try to do it myself I get a tad lost, but regardless this is genuinely such a brilliant image and just makes me even more excited to see what else you do. Also how long did this take to do, on top of my other question
This took a lot of time, I was working on it at the end of last month too on/off! It's probably ~2 weeks of me just doing this pic for almost the whole workday or something lol. Yess, you'll see in the goodies! The early drawings were insaaanely bad. I knew I wanted a big circular-ish motif in the middle with a bridge. So I build the scene with that center Rolf pose in mind first. Then I sketched it all for a billion years, actually did lineart on its own layer for this ( because I wanted it to look more drawn and not super painted. IDK if it made much difference in the end. since its all overpainted with a ton of texture brushes too) I can only do an ambitious scene like this by working on all of it at once kinda and starting off super loose/bad. Then I sort of sculpt/build it up over time by painting over again and again. It is for sure tricky

Hell yee, I love kings being on the battlefield it's like the coolest thing to me haha. We can tell by the armors that King Jan didn't get too many scratches though, especially compared to Rolf... Maybe the low stature helped him stay out of trouble lol. Or Rolf just did a good job protecting him sort of like we see in the piece haha
