Gütersloh mentioned, holy crap that was unexpected! I live in Berlin but close enough. Wen Gütersloh live concert?

Q
Quintessant · October 14, 2026

What are they referencing at 16:50 with the "dean scream"? I know the kid commander in the episode but i dont get murph saying it ruined a camlaign or the hollywood access reference. Im guessing a dungeon court I missed?

S
Sami Kerwin · October 13, 2026

honestly, im currently getting over covid right now, and all i can think about it a couple days before sharing sips from cocktails with a friend (who did NOT have covid, nor was i symptomatic yet) and thinking oh god what if i had given my friend covid from our cheeky little cocktail shares 😭 im with murph on this one, tho similarly my husband and i share a LOT

S
Summer Tribe · October 11, 2026

why are they pretending they don't know how troll regen works

G
Gary Marsden · October 8, 2026

Laughed out loud at the relatability of Murph describing his reaction to being asked for a sip of his drink

K
Kaidan C · October 7, 2026

Im kinda baffled by “there’s a bunch of ways to swing a sword, only one way to heal” Objectively not true. There are more ways to heal than there are to attack (ie you roll a D20 for your sword… the end) But beyond that: cleric actually has perhaps the most customization of any class, they are way more than just healers Oops all clerics would go hard

N
Natalie Bland · October 5, 2026

It’s not Disney, but that complaint about “beast is always the beast again” reminded me of The Swan Princess sequels so hard.

C
Claire · October 5, 2026

I think Emily would have fun being a twilight domain Cleric

G

Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas is a must watch during the holidays! It's the best, it's so cute and wholesome.

C

I'm with Caldwell i thought they meant cats too lol I had to Google dean scream and oh boy

a
aiyana graham art · September 25, 2026

i really appreciate murph's covid consciousness cause everyone else acts like it just doesnt exist anymore

B

Please never talk about balls of hair again

S
Shane Kelly · September 24, 2026

Oi! #1 cleric defender you dont actually have to do much healing as cleric. All you need is healing word and revivify. Maybe prayer of healing. Theres so much creativity in clerics, spiritual weapon or guardian of faith. Also forge and twilight domain rock

L

Yall longhairs need a tub shroom!!!

S

Nawww slurp that broth, gurl! It’s just shellfish broth at the end and it’s liquid gold, babbyyyyy! I’ll fight my wife to drink that shit!

R

Emily, yall meelntioned an all wizard party recently. You NEED to listen to BomBARDed. Its an all Bard multiclass campaign where they roll to improvise a song every episode and solve music theory puzzles.

okay IDK where to put this but i had a dream last night of yall doing a segment where you do an “advice” column where you give “advice” as the different characters— like frankie, moonshine, adam etc

EMMET OTTERS JUGBAND CHRISTMAS MENTIONED

A
Alice W · September 22, 2026

Speaking of Emmet Otter, a great Muppet holiday special with real mixed bag energy is The Christmas Toy. Not as good as Emmet Otter imo but much weirder, just really bizarre. Picture Toy Story but it’s Christmas and if humans see the toys they basically die

S
Santa Grinch Hugging HumBaba and two Fairies · September 22, 2026

My Dad loves Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. the Outtakes are amazing I should watch it more. I've seen it once or twice but my dad talks about it A LOT

EMMIT OTTER JUG BAND CHRISTMAS MENTION!!! yall gotta watch it for mixed bag it’ll be the longest 40 minutes of your life (said with love). the bloopers are actually the funniest bits ever tho

E
Evan · September 21, 2026

Confirmed broth hater Brian Murphy should've recused himself from the conversation regarding his wife's mussel dregs; as a soup expert, I can confirm that Emily was well within her rights to enjoy the white wine broth. In fact, *not* doing so would be a waste of the liquor (juices) of the mussel which emerge during the steaming process. To quote the great cook Howard Mitcham on the subject of clam liquor: "it is ambrosia, fit for the gods themselves". He even recommends serving steamed clams with a mug of their broth, which I can confirm is delicious.

T
Trisha Elliott · September 21, 2026

Caldwell should’ve been on Game Changer longer!!

C
Candy Emberley · September 21, 2026

My hair is so long it goes past my fingertips but I have never clogged a shower drain in my life... I have no idea what Emily and Murph are doing lol but if you haven't tried a hair trap that protrudes upwards (rather than a flat one or one that dips into the drain hole), in my experience those are much less likely to float up and let hair pass under them I love all the emergent naddpod products, I laughed so much at the development of the anti-backwash straw. Has anyone ever compiled a list of all the products that were brainstormed during short rests?

j
jj-scout · September 21, 2026

I watched Emmitt otters jug band Christmas when I was a kid in the 80s and loved it, I showed it to my kid when they were little and they loved as well. It's really sweet and a little sad, like all good Christmas specials should be

C
Cherry Ruby Jubilee · September 21, 2026

Hearing that a bastion can have a gambling component to make passive income makes me wonder if the Wurst in Starstruck (D20) was also run with bastion rules. It did function as a home but it also had a self-sustaining economy with the Jib Job workers and casino. I know that Starstruck was mostly SW5e, but it doesn’t seem like having the ship function as a business would be part of that system. I don’t remember if Brennan ever addressed this.

C
Cheese of the Lake · September 21, 2026

New mixed bag: beauty and the beast 1987 tv show with Ron Perlman and written by George RR Martin it’s actually an underground drama with a lawyer and the beast

M
M · September 21, 2026

The easy fix to the drink problem is what bartenders do for a taste test. You put a clean straw in the drink, cover the top with your finger, pull it out and drink it. It keeps the liquid in the straw. No backwash, no contamination.

M
Maiu · September 21, 2026

I once gave my non-healing party a joke dagger of healing that did 1d4 damage then 1d4 healing and they used it constantly whenever a party member went down

D
Davis · September 21, 2026

At home, my girlfriend and I do “shared bev” where we pretty much exclusively drink from the same cup. We get a lot of strange looks when we forget that we’re in public and still bust out the shared bev

S

Screaming crying throwing up please watch Emmett Otter it’s a timeless classic that can be watched whenever! It’s so wind and the willows adjacent I can’t believe none of them have seen it!

S
Singular Cat 🐛 · September 20, 2026

If COVID is the concern, it's airborne so Caldwell is right, yelling particulate at each other in an enclosed space is way more likely to get you sick than sharing a sippy

A
AXWH · September 20, 2026

BOGTEAU?

I
Ilana Galpert · September 20, 2026

If you dip your straw in a drink, then put your thumb over the top of the straw, then remove the straw it will hold the liquid inside, no germ sharing necessary

A
Alex S. · September 20, 2026

I feel like I’ve never had that experience with escargot?

r
rosebramblewolf · September 20, 2026

The challenge with having a working keep like Bogtu is that you have to know enough about what's going on to be able to notice if your steward is fucking you. You can luck out and get a trustworthy steward but that's not guaranteed, and of course just like any other job they might just be bad at it. And you have to understand what the community and the lands need well enough to be able to make a call when a decision needs to be made—you can't completely leave that up to your workers and your tenant farmers, because they might disagree with each other. I read too many historical novels about the nobility, lol.

J

N
Nick Kipouros · September 19, 2026

Most fun I've ever had was playing in a 1 to 20 campaign 19 levels stars druid and 1 life cleric focusing almost entirely on healing. I find huge healing numbers just as exciting as huge damage numbers, sometimes even more because it gets the rest of the party so hyped

H

My family has watched Emmett Otter every Christmas since before I was born! The music is so good- Caldwell you especially would love it being from Tennessee. That mashup of Our World and Brothers at the end makes me emotional to this day- such a great message the movie portrays as well.

C
Char · September 18, 2026

Literally the only healing spell you need is Healing Word. Everything else is a wasted action.

W
Walker Thurman · September 18, 2026

Clerics get kind of pigeonholed into being healers but the spells are SO varied like there’s tons of options and ways to make a cleric that would let you act dynamically when you don’t necessarily need healing. Spiritual Weapon is one of my favorite spells, and it FEELS combat-specific but being able to just conjure a floating weapon is super versatile. I mean still mostly for hitting people but that’s fun.

S
Scott · September 20, 2026

Yep, came here to comment similarly. If you're using the cure skills in battle then you're doing it wrong, so they really aren't one note. The C1 crew had much more healing than a single cleric so I don't see it lowering the stakes at all.

K

Emmett Otters Jugband Christmas is a favorite in my family! It's one of the movies I make a point to watch every year. It's genuinely sooooo good and the songs are great. And that's not just childhood nostalgia talking - I've shown it to multiple people who never watched it as a kid and it's always been a hit

E
Evander Oleander · September 18, 2026

I feel that Emmet Otter’s jugband Christmas is a movie that can only be watched on VHS, I used to watch it every year but I don’t have a vhs player anymore and I can’t bring myself to stream it it feels wrong.

Emily - Formal dining etiquette suggests that you use a spoon to get the juice, but, I prefer feigning confidence and making casual eye contact with other diners. Act like a queen that is delighted by the customs of the peasants, and you can eat however you choose. Sip that juice!

C
CommodoreBlue · September 18, 2026

I need closure on who’s hair was really clogging the drain. My instincts say Murph would have less experience with the concept, and would be less likely to have proper maintenance down. But I think the only way to tell is for someone to sift through the grime to ID the hair

S
Scruggzi · September 18, 2026

The long hair struggle is real. It just gets everywhere. Whenever I send the robot vacuum round it gets so clogged up I need to rescue it with scissors, thus entirely defeating the point of having a robot to vacuum for me.
