2021 Comics and BIGGu news
So, Full Night Nanny is getting closer to the end soon. Not ending yet, but we're getting there. Glad to hear everyone's been enjoying it so much! I have planned to do Cindy's Origins comic (a prequel if you will) sometime later, maybe this year but we'll see. So you don't have to say goodbye to her once the comic is over!
Now the next step will finally mark the beginning of my next long-running comic project! A University-setting of young adults battling pounds in a hyper socially conscious setting!
Estimated length will be something similiar to NLB but hopefully not as long, definitely not planned to be 300 pages but we'll see.
Now here's the BIG news. Because the new comic will have lots of new characters to introduce and manage the setting and everything it's gonna take a bit longer to get going, similiar to NLB. I plan to compansate this by posting 3 pages a week!
This will be an experiment and it requires that I bring the quality of the pages down slightly. Currently I spend too much time inking and grayscaling and this time would be better spent on making more pages. Hopefully it won't be too noticeable, but likely it will resemble your average manga look a bit more (black&white with some gradients) This is not a guarantee, if things go south and everyone hates the new style I will switch back to my old way of doing things and I cannot promise that I'll be able to keep up 3 pages a week(+weekly painting and polls and all the extra stuff) in that setup. Don't worry too much as it's not a radical change, my style will still be my style but I'm regardless going to try my best at it, hopefully it'll turn out okay!
Now for days, I'm thinking of keeping the SUNday and WEDnesday, which weekday would you prefer to have the 3rd page uploaded? I'm thinking of Friday but I could also change it up to be Mon-Thur-Sat or something related. Tell me what you think!

Friday sounds good, dont stress yourself too much kip!
I was wondering, if the pages are going to start coming out on Friday with the new project would that mean the paintings would come out on a different day or on would that also stick to a Friday schedule.
Yeah I'd post the paintings on thursdays or sometihng
Looking forward to the new comics. Will they be more story focused or more weight gain focused? Though all great some of the past comics have taken quite a while to really get going
Depends a lot on how do you define it. If you only care about weight gain then Nolunch took 18 pages to get going which IMO isn't that long considering it's almost a 300 page comic and that's the longest it's ever been in my comics so far.
Great news! Possibly not the opinion of the wider community, but I'd also be happy with only biweekly paintings in favor or the comic pages. At this point I'm hooked to the stories, so they are far more gratifying to me.
Yeah this is a bit tricky subject because if I focused solely on comics I could churn out at least 5-6 pages a week... paintings take a long time finish and they tend to include trial and error often. However I know they are important to a lot of people here and I'd rather have more varied content than just one thing. So this is my way of trying to increase the comic output while keeping the weekly paintings a going~

I agree that Friday seems like the best place to add a new page. Keep up the fantastic work :)
This news made me happy! I just hope we don’t learn that Cindy was created by a superior alien race to destroy humanity! Humor aside, This all sounds very well-considered. I’m sure the less developed / variably-developed pages will work nicely. And three pages per week is huge!! Personally I would be okay with less frequent pinup paintings if that also would take the pressure off you some. They’re great! But your comics are best imo :) I’m surprised that the next long-format story is not NLB2! That’s okay I can wait, just impressed how far out you plan things. A new huge cast sounds amazing, and wit your recent work just building strength upon strength I have total confidence in what’s in store! One question tho, just based on back-of-the-envelope math, at 3 pages/week, even a 200 page story would take over a year, so how is it possible we might see Cindy Origins in 2021? Oh, and do you expect Cindy: Year 0 will be roughly the length of Full Night Nanny? Okay sorry for writing a lot as usual, thanks for your unique contribution to the internet and congrats on the big plans!
I expect this comic to go for longer than a year. Depending how well received it is I'll decide if I'm going to have it go on a break entirely or publish a page of cindy origins on the side. With 3 pages a week there's room to experiment!
Well I think Friday is the most logical choice, since then it gives each week one or two days of breathing room instead if having all the pages come out and then 4 days of silence, but that is just me!
Kip is setting up kipverse! All these characters are gonna end up together in one big event! An ENDGAME
I promise I won’t be mad if Cindy gets a cameo making a big scene eating pizzas whole in 15 seconds in the campus cafeteria
Thinking back on how much I enjoyed the original Breakfast with Sister (how long ago was that?!), I wouldn't mind a temporary change in quality from your current standards! What's important is that you're happy with the work you produce. 3 pages a week sounds nice, though :3
I was actually going back through dinner with sister pages and while the finish is a lot rougher than what I do nowadays I think it's entirely passable for reading a comic. I work a lot faster now than I used to so I hope focusing on more content while keepin the style the same will make more of the good thing while keeping the quality consistent.
Just make sure you're not overworking yourself! Everyone needs breaks!!
This is definitely an issue for me and I don't really know how to work around this. In general I've only had 1 week of holiday a year (christmas) and the occasional sick day here and there. It's really hard to set aside time for just a break when there's no occasion for it. This year I'm probably going to try and have a bit more time off and balance it with posting more content weekly.
Friday sounds great. You rock kip :3
Imo Friday works the best, that way it’s split optimally throughout the week. Also looking forward to seeing the new story! Will the story mostly be following a single character or will it be more of a split narrative? With the university setting, I think a split narrative would definitely be interesting!
It's going to be many characters!
Friday seems like a good day
love your story updates!!
3 updates sounds awesome👍🏻👍🏻 Friday does sound good!
Pog up. I agree with the common complaint that your comics take a while to get going so it'll be a nice change. Also looking forward to the social setting. When we get to the more important pages I'd personally be okay with a theoretical 1 page a week for quality. I don't care what days, only about wait time between pages. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
The quality between pages will of course vary depending on the situation. I'll make sure that the important pages have enough time spent on them and compensate that by easing out on the less critical ones so it should definitely work out.
Definitely keep the Wednesday and Sunday dates because they work pretty good and honestly I agree with you Kip that Friday sounds like a good day, and don’t worry about the story taking to long with just two pages a week, like the saying goes it’s quality over quantity and you know we will still support it, but I am definitely interested in seeing your style for the 3 day a week option if you choose to do it that way, love your work as always!
Friday!
Friday
Friday for me!
Mon-Thurs-Sat, if doable, is my preference! However, whatever the majority decides is fine too! 😄
If you want Friday, Friday it is
Friday sounds good to me. But if you have to change the days so you dont over do it is fine as well.
The days don't really matter to me that much as I'm always a week ahead of my schedule in pages so no need to worry about that~
Friday sounds good to me my dude, it’s a good middle point Don’t push yourself too much, but I do look forward to this!
