That would be understandable, Connor was a bit rude after all. Would you like Connor to come back down and keep you company? You can probably get him to apologize just by asking. In any event, the boy's nervousness seems like a dead giveaway that he admires you. I can't tell you what to think or how to feel, but it might help you feel better if you take his remark as an awkward compliment.
