Animedakimakurapillow.com
So https://www.animedakimakurapillow.com/ approached me and asked if I wanted to submit a design for them. Normally I wouldn't even consider since the royalties they pay are miniscule, but as I don't have time to personally print and ship dakis I feel like this could be an opportunity for those of you who want one. Anyone here have experience with this site? Do you think it's a good/bad idea? Are there better alternatives out there?

It is a shady site, as is known by some dakimakura hobby communities. They steal dakimakura designs from Japanese artists, who seem mostly seem oblivious to it. Since most dakimakura designs are made by doujinshi hobby circles, they are rarely shipped outside Japan. Furthermore legitimate dakimakura covers tend to be limited in production and not easily found for non-Japanese speakers. Sites like these abuse the international demand and print them in China, but they are essentially stealing art.
I've read something of the sort before, I was concerned this might be the site in question. Good to know and it's something to consider.
Just DO IT.
okay shia
I would want one if my wife wouldn't divorce me. A book I can get away with ... this would be too much.
Do it under the caveat that the daki is outrageously overstuffed in the middle
Wow that's.... really convenient, considering one of my recent pledge requests happens to be dakimakura inspired.
Try it out have then do like I a limited time of how many they sell and if goes great then do more
I only have experience with this site from a consumer point of view, but from that view they have great costumer service and high quality stuff.
It would be incredible if they could make an overstuffed pillow, or just make Sydney's midsection the bulk of the pillow and have a little bit of her at the top of the bottom, kind of like a fisheye lens
As far as these things go they only sell the cover (most of the time) and you need to find the pillow yourself. So in this case you could stuff her as much as you like.
Hhhnnnggg I wanna Tina daki... (but you should find the best option for you)
I'd buy a grace in a heartbeat
I think that making a dakimakura is a good idea. There aren't many options for stuff like this in the community, so I imagine it could be popular
Yeah it would bring in more people at least to look through your comic. I would probably buy one one, maybe 2 for a friend unironically.
Wow you should feel honored (even if you won't be compensated) but you got noticed lol
I ordered maybe 2 or 3 from them several years ago. Quality is good, didn't have any issues. Have never really seen alternatives. Not sure who Slugbox uses - have 2 of his, which are really nice quality, but also weren't cheap.
The quality is good I only bought like 3 pillows before it all depends on you if want to take this opportunity
i dont have any experience or opinions on the site, but this may be a good opprotunity to take if you鈥檝e been wanting to ship out body pillows with your own designs, plus im sure anyone who enjoys your work (myself included) would buy one of your designs
#fatfetish
Same with me. Ive checked out the site before and it looks okay and the designs and quality look amazing but i dont see any regulars there tho so im not sure. But one thing for a fact is that you need to make a Sydney pillow with her belly as big as it is right now,i bet it'll sell out fast, lol
There's not enough bed for a pillow that size
I鈥檝e heard good things from artists who have worked with Cuddly Octopus
I鈥檝e brought cases and pillows from them before, I鈥檓 for them but I鈥檓 not exactly a regular so I can鈥檛 give a high recommendation. All I can safely say is the quality of their products are awesome
