Every video takes me 20 hours of production time and costs me $300
Since I’ve made the switch to increase my rices on Patreon, I have been feeling emotionally better. While the pool is on a slow ebb of cooling, I am using the time I have to test livestreams and cann as much content while the pool is warm before I have to hire a pool at $150 a session -
With no guarantee it will be at the temperature I need,
No guarantee of clarity I need,
No guarantee of chlorination levels that will turn my eyes pink after 1 hour.
I’ll be heading into less and less production control with more costs. Which is why I have been testing the livestream station, and need to get it actually MOBILE.
Once I’ve canned the content, post production takes me 20 hours per movie. This usually involves around 8 hours of editing, 6 hours of post production, and 6 hours of marketing and pushing out or publicizing my content.
It’s an uphill battle from there, as I post into groups and get declined for posting sexual content according to the administrators of the group. I am not welcome for:
Self promotion
Sexualizing bathing suits
Fetish mining
I am pre-judged frequently for a lot of my content, and it takes its toll on me to promote myself.
Hence the utter anguish and mental pain I suffered when I discovered “Underwater FETISH” was a thing, and my REAL NAME had been used in forums sexualizing me, my name, my innocent underwater dancing videos.
I deleted all my long form videos from YouTube, and I am now back up to 20% female, the strikes have been avoided for the time being.
I am NOW ON THE SOFT PORN SITE, TO PROTECT MY IMAGE RIGHTS. But it opens me up to endless emails from men, asking me what my kinks are, and if I do custom requests.
I ignore everything, but suffering this bombardment on a daily basis SUCKS.
It truly SUCKS, I am on these porn sites with my alias, to protect my real name from becoming synonymous with porn. Unfortunately - 7 years too late. There is a lot of porn traffic on my name, and there are fake profiles on Facebook CATFISHING for men to visit their Russian porn site.
Since I Canned a lot of content, I have been heavily editing up to 20 hours a day stuck in BOTH my phones. I can’t film anymore, until I delete footage off my phones.
I can’t delete footage off my phones until it uploads to my server. I can’t upload fast enough to my video hosting server, because my internet bandwidth is now throttling me. I have sent 20gb of footage through the home wifi, and my internet service provider is throttling me. I can’t even upgrade my own internet service - because I’m house sitting.
I run into headaches everyday, and while I love my “hobby” my aquaphile art, it comes with a whole bunch of headaches I didn’t sign up to.
The reality is, until I hit my monthly goals, I can only release one Underwater ASMR Video a Month on here.
I am bottlenecked every way I turn, and can’t release it any faster if I wanted to. Unless I upgrade everything, and that takes more money. I did not want to turn my art into a production nightmare, but I wouldn’t suffer this nightmare if I was properly funded to make things happen.
My new movies are only going to be released to aquaphile patrons and up.
Lower tier members will see shorter promotional length videos that I have yet to post-produce with credits. If I am quiet - it’s usually because I am stuck nose-deep in editing or something.
So, until I reach my monthly goal, I can only release ONE underwater ASMR video a month. After I meet my overheads, the cost of production goes down per video, but as a general rule of thumb, underwater videos are an expensive system to run. Pool access, water clarity, pool temperature, system logistics etc, is easily in the region of $6k a year to run.
While I was doing Patreon as a form of therapy, it has never paid for itself but mitigated those costs. Now I have to take things seriously as an artist who is healing and moving into self-sustaining territory. I urge that you help me reach my monthly goal at the bare minimum to cover my costs to ensure I can continue. You do not have to do anything, your pledges will remain the same, it is up to you to edit your pledge or not.
Until I reach my minimum goal, I have been uploading my content in pre-release form on OnlyFans behind a paywall. Most people there have come directly from the porn sites, and are unaware of my underwater art. They just want an outlet for their swimsuit fetish. So I so far have not sold any of my videos on pre-release. I don’t expect to, because the OnlyFans server is slow and not nice for viewing pleasure.
The server here is by Vimeo, so you have fast download times and no ugly watermarks. That is the way I prefer to enjoy my videos.
I’m still upgrading my repeater stations to get full video clarity on the HD poolside streaming. The weather conditions by the pool are hit and miss for WiFi strength. But I’m slowly figuring this out.
