Animations Tutorial Videos
First and foremost, BIG SHOUT OUT TO POMMELSTRKE - my blender sensei. They have been my biggest mentor when it comes to animations and recommended me so many good resources and add-ons.

I am in no way an expert with animations. But, I know that there are people who are interested to learn it. So, I would like to share the tutorials I have watched.
Animation is quite a long process to learn. I wish I can make a one tutorial video of it just like with poses, however, it involves so many factors to it (plus the fact that I am, again, no mere expert and I am still learning. So, I am not confident at all in making a tutorial video).
Now, I have watched tons of them but this is because I tend to look at a certain problem that I am encountering with a specific animation. So, I could not really give a specific video to watch. But, the videos I am about to share are what we would need to learn first.
Kit already shared a link in their tutorial about character animation and great add-on tools to help: Custom Animations Blender Walkthrough | BG3 Modding Community Wiki
The main thing here are the keyframes. The keyframes are what drives the animation (from pose 1 to pose 2 to pose 3 etc etc).
Tutorial: Blender Keyframes For Beginners
Play with the keyframes first and get used to them.
Once you have gotten yourselves familiarize with keyframes. Another important thing to learn is IK vs FK.

Another thing to learn is the Graph Editor:
How to use Blender's Graph Editor like a Professional Animator
Now, combining actions (such as walking to running) is a different one. We would have to learn NLA.

Add-Ons I use:
Animation Layers (paid)
This helps in overlapping the base animation of your character (if you retargeted it from another animated armature). It also helps in categorizing and tweaking each body part for easy animation.
ARP (paid)
This helps retargeting an already animated armature to a rig.

Websites I use to get animations:
Mixamo (free)
Real Illusion (free & paid)

Tbh, in-game animations has so much good stuff of it already with Rakor’s QSAT mod giving all of it available for us. But if you want a more specific animation that isn’t in the game, then… yea. Lol.
