We're excited to announce that Huxxi Roleplay 1.5 is officially available for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator!

Version 1.5 is one of our biggest updates yet, bringing a completely redesigned navigation experience, realistic 3D bridges, live traffic tracking, a powerful full-screen map, wireless tablet mirroring, enhanced characters and a redesigned, lightweight installer.

And that's not all! We've also introduced numerous improvements to existing roleplay features, fixed long-standing issues and optimized the overall experience.

Our mission remains unchanged: to transform ETS2 and ATS into something more than driving simulators.

🧭 1. NEW — Heads-Up 3D Navigation

Say hello to a completely redesigned minimap!

The new Heads-Up / Lanes navigation mode brings a modern, car-style GPS experience directly into your truck.

✅ A dynamic, road-facing navigation perspective that follows your vehicle.

✅ Roads displayed at realistic widths with clear lane markings, emergency lanes and barriers.

✅ Smooth curves, intersections, merging lanes and highway exits.

✅ Intelligent route guidance that highlights the correct lanes before upcoming turns.

✅ Green directional arrows displayed directly on the road.

✅ Lane guidance indicators that activate up to 600 metres before turns and exits.

✅ Adjustable zoom distances to suit your driving preferences.

Navigation is now more immersive, informative and easier to follow.

🌉 2. NEW — Realistic 3D Bridges & Overpasses

Bridges are no longer represented as flat intersections!

Our upgraded navigation system now understands road elevations and multi-level interchanges.

✅ Bridges and overpasses have realistic heights and smooth approaches.

✅ Roads passing beneath bridges are correctly positioned below them.

✅ Properly connected multi-level interchanges.

✅ Bridge support pillars placed beside the roads underneath.

✅ Live bridge detection using your vehicle's height and surrounding traffic.

✅ Automatic corrections when distinguishing between an overpass and an ordinary junction.

Highway interchanges finally look and behave like real interchanges on your minimap!

🚗 3. NEW — Live AI Traffic on Maps

Your navigation system now shows the vehicles around you!

✅ AI cars and trucks appear on the minimap and full-screen map.

✅ Vehicles are represented as appropriately sized 3D models in Heads-Up mode.

✅ Traffic follows its actual lane and road direction.

✅ Vehicles travelling over and beneath bridges appear at their correct elevations.

✅ Traffic lights are displayed at supported intersections.

✅ Smooth movement between updates prevents vehicles from jumping around.

Your GPS now feels like a living representation of the road around you.

The Huxxi tablet now includes a powerful full-screen Map application!

Explore the world, plan your route and discover nearby locations using a modern interactive map.

Features include:

• Full-screen 2D and 3D map exploration.

• Smooth dragging, zooming, rotation and map tilting.

• Zooming directly toward your cursor.

• Detailed roads, parks, grass and land areas.

• City names and company locations, including supported Real Companies logos.

• Fuel stations, hotels, rest areas and repair facilities.

• Custom location pins and route planning.

• Clear Markers and Hide Controls options.

• Live surrounding traffic.

• TaxiConnect route and destination integration.

Roads remain visible across different zoom levels, map orientations and 3D perspectives.

📱 5. NEW — Mirror Your Tablet to Your Phone!

One of the most exciting additions in Version 1.5!

You can now display and control your in-game Huxxi tablet from a phone, tablet or second monitor.

Simply open Settings, select Connect Tablet / Mobile, start the server and scan the QR code!

✅ Wirelessly mirror the in-game tablet.

✅ Interact using taps, swipes, gestures and supported mouse or keyboard input.

✅ Use two-finger gestures to rotate the map.

✅ A persistent connection address reduces repeated setup.

✅ Keep your phone screen awake while the tablet is being displayed.

✅ Optional automatic startup with the game.

✅ Secure pairing code for connecting devices.

✅ Generate a new pairing code to disconnect previously paired screens.

The mirroring server remains off unless you start it or enable automatic startup.

🚕 6. Improved TaxiConnect Navigation

TaxiConnect navigation has received several important improvements.

✅ Automatic zooming in when approaching pickups and drop-offs.

✅ Destination circles displayed on both the minimap and full map.

✅ Taxi routes remain visible throughout active jobs.

✅ Normal GPS and delivery routes continue working when TaxiConnect is inactive.

Enjoy a more reliable and intuitive taxi-driving experience.

🪟 7. NEW — Adjustable Windows in Interiors

Customize the scenery visible from inside your properties and accessible buildings!

While inside supported convenience stores, public restrooms and hotel rooms, press Alt to adjust the outside view.

You can move, rotate, raise, lower and resize the scenery.

✅ Individual view settings saved for each location.

✅ Hotel balcony views remembered for each hotel and its assigned floor.

✅ Improved head movement and viewing angles.

✅ Reduced scenery jitter caused by character movement.

✅ Existing home window customizations continue working.

Your interiors now feel more personal and immersive.

🧑 8. NEW — HD Character Textures

Characters are receiving a visual upgrade!

The Character Editions Workshop items now include higher-quality textures for base-game characters, alongside Lucia and North.

Expect more detailed character appearances throughout your roleplay experience.

Important: Update your Character Editions Workshop subscriptions to receive the latest character improvements.

We've significantly improved how Huxxi Roleplay is installed and configured!

Version 1.5 introduces a more streamlined installer designed to make installation and map generation easier.

✅ Modern, redesigned installer interface.

✅ Simplified plugin installation.

✅ Improved map generation and configuration.

✅ No longer requires a separate Huxxi map pack mod in Mod Manager.

✅ Map data is generated directly for your selected game profile.

✅ Better support for modded maps and map archives.

✅ Broken map archives can be skipped instead of stopping the entire process.

✅ Prepared map data is protected.

✅ Improved handling of small map mod changes.

✅ Direct access to the game's GPS navigation data without an additional helper application.

✅ Fixed the recurring ETS2 "map needs update" warning after regeneration.

Less hassle, cleaner setup and a better installation experience!

🔔 10. Automatic Update Notifications

Never miss an important Huxxi Roleplay release!

The tablet and installer can now display update notifications when a newer version is available.

You'll see:

• UPDATE x IS OUT — when a new release is available, with a link to the Patreon post.

• MAP NEEDS UPDATE — when your navigation data should be regenerated.

Huxxi Roleplay now automatically uses the appropriate measurement system for your game.

🇺🇸 American Truck Simulator: Miles and feet.

🇪🇺 Euro Truck Simulator 2: Kilometres and metres.

No manual configuration required!

🛠️ 12. Major Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements

Version 1.5 includes numerous stability and optimization updates.

✅ Fixed crashes when closing the game.

✅ Fixed vehicles sometimes disappearing from the minimap.

✅ Fixed roads disappearing in the full-screen map when tilted, rotated or zoomed out.

✅ Fixed elevation gaps and abrupt height changes at junctions and bridge approaches.

✅ Improved minimap performance by prioritizing nearby map features.

✅ Improved full-screen map performance through background tile loading and memory cleanup.

✅ Improved location pin searching to avoid interrupting navigation.

✅ Added route-setting functionality to the Houses app.

✅ Improved overall stability, responsiveness and map compatibility.

🌐 Multiplayer Compatibility

Multiplayer support continues from Version 1.4.

Compatibility may vary depending on your game version, multiplayer environment and installed modifications.

If you encounter an issue, please report it through our official Discord server.

📥 HOW TO UPDATE TO VERSION 1.5

Important: Version 1.5 introduces a new map format and installer workflow. Please follow these steps carefully.

1. Completely close ETS2 or ATS.

2. Back up your game profile.

3. Download and run the latest Huxxi Roleplay 1.5 installer.

4. Select Install plugin to install the latest version.

5. Open the Maps section, select your game profile and generate your map again.

6. Remove any old Huxxi map pack mod from your Mod Manager. Version 1.5 no longer requires it.

7. Update your Character Editions Workshop items if you use them.

8. Launch your game and enjoy Version 1.5!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do not update only the DLL file. The installer also contains required house files and other updated components.

Each game profile requires a fresh map generation to use the new navigation format.
