Huxxi Roleplay 1.23 — Smarter Passengers, Ride Ratings & More Ways to Explore | ATS + ETS2

Hi everyone!

I've been working on making Huxxi Roleplay feel more natural, both behind the wheel and when you step outside. Update 1.2 brings a much deeper TaxiConnect experience, more useful AI navigation, improved climbing interactions, and a long list of cabin, control, installer and performance improvements.

Here's what's new and improved!

🚕 TaxiConnect — Passengers with More Personality

Taxi rides now have more variety in what happens and when it happens. Conversations are spread across the journey, with room for quiet moments. Passengers are less likely to repeat the same introductions, family stories or requests, and their reasons for travelling can match the place you're taking them.

• Quiet, Normal or Chatty: Choose how frequently passengers talk during your rides.

• More Natural Conversations: Passengers have more varied conversations, personalities and reasons for travelling.

• Realistic Passenger Requests: Passengers may ask for a phone charger, an open window, music, a warmer or cooler cabin, a quiet pause or gentler driving.

• Unexpected Situations: Some passengers might take a personal phone call, doze off on a longer journey, realise they're running late or ask you to pick up a friend.

• Forgotten Items: Occasionally, someone may leave an item behind. Return it before taking another job to receive a reward and a spoken thank-you.

• More Ride Variety: Improved passenger destinations, stop requests and unexpected events make journeys feel less predictable.

These are occasional events, so every ride won't follow the same script.

⭐ Your Driving Now Earns a Rating

TaxiConnect now shows a ride rating out of five stars, including a decimal score, passenger feedback and payment information.

• Passenger Ratings: Receive a rating between 1.0 and 5.0 stars after completing a ride.

• Driving Matters: Collisions, repeated harsh driving, traffic fines, missed requested stops and poor hygiene can affect your rating.

• Smooth Driving: Passengers can praise your driving, and minor mistakes receive some allowance.

• Tips & Bonuses: Tips now take your rating and passenger personality into account. Eligible five-star tips are worth 20% of the base fare.

• Job History: Review your last five completed rides, including routes, passenger feedback, distance, duration, fares, tips, bonuses and deductions.

Passenger reactions have also become more natural. A light bump can startle someone, repeated collisions make them more annoyed, and a calmer stretch can help them settle down.

🤖 TruckMate AI — Smarter Navigation & Assistance

TruckMate is now more useful when you're looking for somewhere to go or need a stop along the way.

• Find Destinations: Ask TruckMate to locate cities, restaurants, hotels, fuel stations and other services.

• Route Information: Get available route distances, estimated travel times, upcoming turns and nearby location information.

• Stops Along Your Route: Find a restaurant, fuel station or other service without losing your original destination.

• Dual Navigation Pins: Your main destination stays purple, while an additional stop appears in orange.

• Route Guidance: TruckMate can help guide you even when you aren't completing a delivery job.

• Passenger Conversations: Ask taxi passengers whether they know a suitable place along your route.

• More Natural AI Speech: Improved passenger voice positioning, phone-call audio and conversational responses.

• Vehicle Commands: Improved requests to turn on configured lights or wipers, including starting a safely parked vehicle first when necessary.

🚶 Walking, Jumping & Climbing Improvements

Explore the world beyond your truck with improved character movement!

• Mantling & Vaulting: Climb over suitable walls, barriers and raised surfaces when there's a clear landing.

• Vehicle Climbing: Climb onto reachable truck frames, trailer decks and other supported vehicle surfaces.

• Improved Jumping: More natural jumps, landings and running movements.

• Better Climbing Animations: Improved hand placement, knee movement and transitions onto raised surfaces.

• First-Person Improvements: See more of your character's torso, legs and feet while moving.

• Better Third-Person Movement: Improved running posture, body movement and climbing animations.

• New Metal Footsteps: 16 recorded metal impact sounds, with stronger running and landing sounds on supported vehicle surfaces.

• Better Collision Handling: Reduced unwanted sideways movement when walking against parked vehicles.

🛏️ Cabin Life, Sleeping & Lighting

Enjoy a more immersive life inside your truck.

• Improved Cabin Sleeping: Your character remains visible while resting, with better lying-down animations and camera positioning.

• Natural Sleep & Wake-Up: The complete sleep sequence remains, with yawning and character-specific wake-up sounds.

• Better Bunk Camera: Look around naturally while lying down.

• Cabin Lighting: Improved lamp positioning for different trucks, with adjustable brightness, colour, spread and additional window lighting.

• Improved Cabin Movement: Smoother transitions between sitting, walking, reclining and returning to the driver's seat.

• Better Vehicle Entry: Improved door interactions, seatbelt timing and entry sounds.

🪪 Driving Licence & Settings

• New Driving Licence Design: A landscape licence with your own photo, driver name and company information.

• Improved Settings: Better-organised configuration for AI, graphics, cabin, trailer jobs and other features.

• Separate AI Apps: TaxiConnect and TruckMate remain separate applications within AI Settings.

• Better Controller Support: Improved controller compatibility and button detection.

🚛 Manual Trailer Coupling & Delivery Jobs

Trailer interactions and delivery procedures have received further improvements.

• Manual Trailer Connections: Improved trailer pin, hoses, cables and landing-gear interactions.

• Better Interaction Markers: Clearer guidance showing where to stand and which trailer action is available.

• Improved Tug Test: More reliable testing of trailer connections.

• Landing Gear Animations: Improved hand and crank movements.

• Delivery Paperwork: Car delivery jobs now use bill-of-lading/CMR paperwork and delivery confirmation instead of the unwanted parcel-loading flow.

🛒 Shopping, Payments & Tablet Improvements

• More Realistic Card Payments: Watch the POS terminal appear, tap your card, enter your PIN and complete your purchase.

• Smoother Checkout: Improved timing and payment animations.

• Faster Tablet Experience: Reduced unnecessary loading and improved interface responsiveness.

• Improved Mouse Controls: Better shopping, checkout and menu interactions.

• Fuel Payments: The existing fuel payment sequence remains.

⚡ Performance, Maps & Installer Improvements

This update also includes improvements to make the mod more responsive and easier to maintain across different game setups.

• Smoother Interface: Reduced unnecessary redraws and repeated background work.

• Improved Responsiveness: Optimisations targeting stutters and delays during gameplay.

• Better Profile Detection: Improved detection of ETS2 and ATS installations, profiles and custom game folders.

• Improved Map Support: Better handling of supported map combinations and generated service locations.

• DLC Map Fixes: Improved map generation for locations in DLC areas you don't own.

• Better Diagnostics: Improved installer information and troubleshooting options.

• Settings Preservation: Normal installation continues to preserve existing saves, settings and activation.

These optimisations target wasted work and stutters. Actual performance will still depend on your hardware, graphics settings and installed maps.

📥 How to Update

1. Close American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 before installing the update.

2. Use the updated installer attached to this post.

3. If you're moving from an older generated map-pack format, regenerate your map data once.

4. Regenerate again after changing your game version, maps or active map load order.

5. Generate the compatibility pack for the correct game and active profile, then enable the matching pack above its source maps.

DLL, audio and artwork updates alone normally don't require map regeneration.

Important Notes

• Third-person mode, Lucia, North, cabin sleeping, shopping and AI conversations were already available in previous releases. Update 1.2 improves these existing features.

• Some climbing locations may remain inaccessible depending on the game's collision system.

• AI voice features require supported Gemini Live access and may be affected by service availability or latency.

• Visible taxi passengers require the compatible passenger companion and supported vehicle/seat setup.

• Map generation is required before expecting generated shop and service locations to appear.

• Public Convoy character replication is not included in this update.
