A small poll about mini games
Hi friends!
Work on LS 0.95 part 2 goes in full swing: texts are being translated, refined by our proofreaders and added into the game.
In the meantime, we'd like to hold a small poll. In our game, we try to add various mini-games (or sometimes small game episodes), which's intended to diversify the gameplay. For example, from the new version 0.95 part 1 you might notice ----stubs---- where the mini-game may appear later. It intends that the player will have to catch Belle and Emma on behalf of the tentacle tree. Sometimes such episodes can be done quickly enough, but sometimes they take a lot of time... Therefore, we decided to find out how interesting and important such mini-games are for you?

good poll! i voted for moderation, can be fun with mini-games if it has to do with the plot / rest of the game, but doing them to much is not fun in my opinion.
I like when the developer gives you the option to skip/bypass the minigame after the initial "win" so you aren't FORCED to play it every time, only when you want to. In games where there is a monetary reward for winning the game, I'd be fine with a reduced prize if you chose to skip (e.g. if winning gave you 20 coins, I would choose to skip for 5-10 coins). Obviously you can't do that when the reward is Belle being caught in the tentacle tree, but if someone has already achieved that once, it might be nice to let them skip the "fun" and go straight to the "real fun".
haha, completely understandable! :D yeah, we'll take into account your thoughts of skipping the mini-game... Actually, we're about to make them mostly in big quests to avoid constant 'effect of probabilities' for making quests it more hmm... real and entertaining;)
"Everything is good in moderation. Don't go too far with it. The main thing is the plot." As for me, I like mini games)
If you know the mini-game is actually fun (like, something you'd play for a few minutes just to play it, not because the plot forced you to) then keep it. The problem with minigames is 80% of them are not fun to play (either boring, too difficult, or insufficient explanation of what we are supposed to be doing in them).
yeah, it's understandable. I think we'll make them mostly in sich big quests like tentaklee-tree or so to avoid permanent 'probabilities' effect.
Mini games are good. But it is best to not push it too far to avoid it becoming too heavily of a grind as the plot is still a key feature.
