Chars in the Library Story!
Hi, guys!
While the work on the LS is in full swing, we would like to hold a small poll!
So recently I've received from several patrons a curious question - whether it would be characters only from "Beauty and the Beast" in our game or you can wait for another original chars? I can answer that in general, we try to use authentic chars, but will also add some another (including created by Xaljio and me). But now we wondered, what do you think about this thing?
And now to the point of the poll:
What kind of chars would you like to see in the Library Story?
1) Only the authentic chars from "Beauty and the Beast";
2) Chars from other Disney's worlds;
3) Original characters.
You can also write chars names you would like to see in the game.
Of course, in general, we already have a set of personalities for the game, but perhaps we will make some changes / additions after the poll =))

So... Now the first half of October is almost finished. Can we expect, as your previsions foretold, the release of the demo very soon ? ^^

Вообще завтра на эту тему будет специальное сообщение. Собственно основной массив контента практичеси готов, но необходимо все протестировать, допереводить тексты, вычитать их - в общем нужна доработка.
Чем больше персонажей в игре, тем она интереснее. Но, все зависит от возможностей автора. Голосую за два пункта сразу: 2 и 3.
Вообще, действительно довольно много персонажей вырисовывается. Хотя пока сложно назвать точное кол-во, учитывая, что некоторые квесты еще прописываются. Но - да, будут и ориджиналы (посмотри, на рисунке в этом сообщении есть новички;)), а также герои из других миров - к примеру, Тинкербель.
I say 2 as long as the char have some kind of meaning to be there, like tinkerbell, it was interesting to see her give gaston the power of the library.
Haha! You're very attentive,-) Yes, with Tinkerbell there will be some fun quests (don't know exactly how many of them will be in the demo) Plus lots of movie characters. And some of original chars, of course - look at the picture on this post - there are some newcomers;)

Completely agree! Original chars, and especially from the other Disney's worlds - should be reasonable amount, matching B&B world and game logic. Regarding the originals - you can find some on the picture to this post;)

About 2 - completely agree. Other worlds chars should be reasonable amount, plus they should match B&B world and game logic. Therefore, another worlds characters would be obviously a bit. However Tinkerbel (or Binkertel) already in the game! :D
2) and 3) together would be great! :)

I vote number 2 but you have to make sense when you write it. Can't wait to play the demo !
3 (for all of the above). Disney characters are great, and they totally have a place, but so do your own original characters. I mean, look at Akabur, and how popular Iris is.
Of course, originals are necessary because there is not enough suitable characters in the movie. Btw regarding original chars - you can see some of them on the picture to this post;)
vote 2 its fun to corrupt characters that u recognize
I vote for 2. 1 is out of question for me. There are not enough exciting characters in Beauty & and The Beast movie. Belle put aside, you wouldn't find too much girls. 3 could be good, but frankly it's not really exciting to go for new characters for which we don't have many affinities. 2 is great because, just as discovering a version of Belle who will do extreme naughty things, seeing other Disney characters, always so pure and innocent in the movies, do hardcore sex and become naughty girls is what is the most exciting. Personally, I would like to see Ariel and her daughter Melody (for lolita fetish and maybe incest), Tiana from The Princess and the Frog so that we have a black girl, Maid Marian from Robin Hood for furry fetish, Anna and Elsa from Frozen (they are beautiful, and it could lead to incest subplot), and Rapunzel (Belle could learn from her how to do new hair styles). It could be interesting too to have Snow White, as she is rare enough in adult parodies. I don't know why, but as she is the most naive and pure princess in Disney movies, I would like love to see her as a nasty dominatrix in black latex ! ^^
Clever way of thinking! In fact, there aren't too little characters in B&B, but if speak about erotic component - yea, it's clearly not enough suitable types. Regarding question 3 - it all depends on how well our new chars will be fit into the world. In general, you'll be able soon to appreciate a couple of new chars :D And yes, we too, like Snow White... but we aren't sure that Snow White will be in the game... While all can be. ;)
I like option 2 myself.
I would personally go with 2, as it could open up for some interesting situations and jokes, like if Belle was reading The Little Mermaid and Ariel showed up.

Therefore, another worlds chars would be obviously not too much. Though there will be many characters from the movie and some originals. Btw you can see some original chars on the picture to this post. I wonder how you like them:)

The demo will be available to patreons in your page or everyone (free)? If the release date will be this month? And finally how much play game time will last. Thank you for your time. The demo will be available to all paying patrons, so as long as your monthly payment goes through you can have access. Secondly, no release date has been made for this game. Third, that is entirely up to you and how you play.

Согласна, обоснованность персонажей - момент очень важный. Поэтому, если и будут герои из других миров Диснея, то очень немного. А вообще, героев и в самом мульте предостаточно, как выяснилось. Ну и пару-тройку ориджиналов введем.
I'd vote for 2, but 3 could work as long as it fits in with the story/world. I wouldn't mind cameos that made sense, ie. Maid Marian in the forest from the furry Robin Hood Disney made, or Jasmine/Iris/Lola/Hermione making visits from Akabur's games.
Please, no girls from other games. there is enough Iris, Lola, and Hermione in Akabur's Games. I vote for diversity !
My gut says stick with 1, 3 as long as the original characters can still fit within the world of Beauty and the Beast world. I would like to say include 2 but would say stick to characters that make sense on earning rep with the current library setting. Jasmine and Ariel are the first to come to mind since they both value books so any ability to get fresh with them would still work with the native mechanics. The problem being that for many will then think Iris should be included, not that I personally wouldn't enjoy seeing Iris. The issue being I just don't see her valuing books and thus requiring a different rep mechanic, maybe a traveling merchant that you trade with that gets you rep with Iris, which I would be afraid could be distributive or detract from the main point of the game.
Thank you for such detailed review! No, we will not exactly intruduce Iris in all our games. :D And yes, it's important that the characters were good matched to B&B world, we try very hard to do so! It would interesting to see how you'll react on them. Incidentally, on this picture there are 2 original chars :)
For me it would come down to a question of how you want the game to feel. Personally i'd vote for 1 and 3. I like the idea of staying thematic, and while i appreciate the idea of sticking to known characters, including them can lead to characters like Iris.
As an addendum, I'm not advocating for including Iris. I simply am using her as an example of an awsome original character.
Well, now that's an interesting question indeed. My response would be number 2, only Disney characters. I like seeing characters I recognize and had feelings about, characters that make me think back to when I first saw them as a kid. I wouldn't mind the occasional original character, but I don't want to see original characters take any kind of precedence.
Well, the precedence is quite obvious in the LS - it's Belle and Gaston. :D But another characters are very different, including originals.
