Release date announcement
It is my absolute pleasure to announce the Patreon release dates for:
Being a DIK - Episode 9: Vixens (v0.9.0)
Huge DIK ($25+) tiers: Friday, December 16th
DIK ($10+) tiers: Monday, December 19th
Mini DIK ($5) tier: Friday, December 30th (Patch only, needs Season 3 base game to play)
Beta testers are currently testing the new version and are working hard to ensure that the release is a smooth experience for every player. And my proofreader is combatting typos in the episode.
There will be a patch with a file size of ~4.95 GB.
And there will be a full version, including the Interlude, with a file size of ~7.26 GB.
If you don't know how to patch your game, I recommend downloading the full version.
There will be clear instructions in the .zip file telling you how to patch your game.
Due to this highly anticipated release, my time to aid with installations and issues will be extremely limited.
Please, join my Discord server to get faster help with any problems during the release.
Make sure you treat Season 3 as a stand-alone game and don't merge it with Season 1 or Season 2 data.
Merging the game with Seasons 1 and 2 will corrupt both games.
I will not assist with errors and re-downloads due to faulty patching.
So, please make backup copies of your games before you attempt to patch them.

Fixed an issue where the setting to only show the close button in the rewards app when hovering caused a traceback error.
Corrected typos
Added Rollback Side option to Dialogue tab in Preferences.
Removed 6 songs due to a band's wishes. Favorite lists are reset as a result.
Overhauled the main menu music player

replaying the game in prep for Episode 9. I have found a possible grammar error in episode 4. during the party that Cathy's nude is leaked, if you call sage and tell her you miss her her dialogue says "I Guess I see you at the car wash" correct me if i'm wrong but I think it should be "I guess I'll* see you at the car wash". very minor and no inconvenience but I love this game and i'm sure it's an easy fix for future versions :)
Query, any timetable for Steam Version ?

Maybe a stupid question but if it will be a stand alone game all the relationships we built through it before dont matter? Because I played through steam and justr now switched over? also will it be out on steam?
1. You import your save file when you start this version of the game from where you left off in episode 8. 2. It'll be on steam when Season 3 concludes (episodes 9-12), which is years away.

As he stated above release time is, when everything is ready. I think DPC is about 6 hours after our time zone, so I think it will be sometime in the afternoon for Germany. Unless DPC has everything ready and pushes it out past midnight local time... that would be in the morning for us. We'll see.
Well, Huge DIKs' have fun this weekend - I'll have to wait till Monday. (I thought I'll have to share this, but I believe Lynette's diary will reveal a shocking truth that will really rock MC's world - I think I know what it is, but it could be just pure speculation.)

I would rather guess this is the house MC's grandfather sold as they moved to the old hotel where MC's mom and dad met. And Jill's family bought it.
Gotta love that even with 20+ endseason saves, I'm still encountering dialog and stills I haven't seen before. It's hard not to just love the hell out of this game as it just keeps on giving...walkthroughs are great, but man the joy of accidental discovery is pretty cool too...
since this is my first go through patreon of anything, what time does this drop on Friday? Do I need a mega account to get the download bc of how big the file will be? Also where will the link to download be? Will DPC put it as a post on the feed here?
No release time, sometime during 16th. MEGA is the fastest alternative, but there are free alternatives that don't need a paid subscription (Mediafire/GOFILE/GDRIVE) You will get a mail when a post with the release is made, or alternatively join my Discord server and get pinged when it's released.

A bit off-topic... maybe DPC reads it: I found the game due to the GoG release and I wondered why there are no achievements for S1/2 although Steam has them as I get it (I am not on Steam). Not a big deal at all... just wondering why and if it is likely, achievements are added in GoG version any time?!
RenPy doesn't have native support for it, as it does for Steam. Coding RenPy engine stuff myself isn't something I have the time for. I've asked RenPy Tom (creator of RenPy) to add it, but it's not something he has planned.

No, just import your steam saves in the interlude. You can continue your story from there.

Interlude (story-wise both as their timelines intersect at the end of Interlude). Season 3 will contain Interlude and Episodes 9-12.

If I am reading this correctly we can not continue from episodes 1 and 2 and to treat it at this its own standalone game. Reading from the comments it sounds like it is continuing from the interlude. Will we be merging episodes 1 and 2 in the future? What is the point of having those saves and then his first love coming back throwing a wrench in everything. Don't get me wrong I think this is going to be a fun episode but when are they going to merge?
The saves you made at the end of Season 2 are the start of the Interlude and therefore will be carried on in episode 9

Just confirming here, potentially, from reading on the discord. Steam saves are not compatible with the Patreon version? So, for those of us that found the best VN around via Steam, we either have to wait for a full episode release on steam, or up our membership level here to get the Patreon release and then play through all our varied branches if we want to experience each update as they come?
No, you can import any Steam/GoG/Patreon save at the start of the interlude (which is the start of season 3) as long as you saved it at the very end of season 2 within the special "transfer" save slots. Try to start the interlude and check if you can import your saves.

there is no animations like a big AAA games, its not the same kind of graphics, so you can probably run the game on a toaster

Dumb question that I'm sure you've answered before regarding the Steam release: will you wait until Chapter 12 is complete (assuming you plan to go that high) or are you going to release each chapter individually on that platform from here on out?

You can import your saves to Patreon Season 3 from Steam at the end of Season 2 (transfer occurs at save import for Interlude)
