Plated mail - armour of the Moghuls
My first sponsored video. I do hope you like it. Thank you to all those who replied on Patreon telling me that they didn't mind my using sponsorshop. Just today I have been asked about sponsorship from another relevant company.
Editing this one proved a bit exhausting, because my sponsors were in the USA (time difference), and I had to upload it and leave it unlisted so that they could view it and approve it. Unfortunately, I said in my speech about the free month's trial offer, that one would simply have to 'not subscribe' before the month was out to avoid having to pay, and actually one would have to 'unsubscribe', and they were worried that this legal technical difference could lead to difficulty, so I had to re-edit, re-render, and re-upload. In the end, I finished editing at 9.30 a.m. my time, and so I missed a full night's sleep. I was contractually obliged to have the video published today.
Kudos to the 47 people who found the unlisted and legally-suspect version before I could make it 'private'.

And yeah, I´d rather attach it to the glove than the sabre. Attaching it to the gloves and maibe some kind of cap worn under the helmet seems most plausible to me, and com parable to how I was told european hauberks were worn.
This suit of armour is absolutely gorgeous. Glad you got it, though I think I went a light shade of envy-green by the sight of it... ;-) About the beak-shaped hand part and the thingy in the back: What about if they used some string, leather strips or some such to keep it in place? I know extant reenactors do that with their hauberks, and especially mail coiffes. I don´t know if there is solid evidence in this case, but it appears to work. Better than without string, anyway. But then ppl say, real old armour was tailoured a lot better, and thus fit better then modern replicas, and so forth...I´m sure you know it...
As long as you feel comfortable with your own sponsored deals, and as long as they are properly disclosed, I am all for further sponsored content, so go for it. I look forward to seeing what comes of this.
Thanks.
I couldn't click on the sponsor link while viewing this video on Patreon.
The clickable link is in the description of the video. Possibly you need to go to YouTube for this? There is no in-vision link. YouTube limits on-screen links to other videos on YouTube, channel pages in YouTube, and just a few categories of outside site: a linked merchandising site, a linked website, and a crowd funding site.
Though it's a major hassle, it was good of them to request the change and good of you to make it. As long as sponsors don't affect your opinion or interfere with the content, it can be a good thing
They made no demands at all on the content of the rest of my video. The only thing they are looking for is how big the response is, so I picked a topic that I thought would make a popular video.
