Woolly Lloyd and the Jumpers play 'All My Loving' by the Beatles
This is a bit of a departure, I admit, but we live in unusual times. I hope that those of you who came here for the tanks and spears are not howlingly disappointed. If you object to my charging you for this one, let me know. I would understand, and it would stop me doing it again.
It was claimed by a copyright strike immediately after uploading to YouTube, but the first to get in there were not The Beatles, but the Sandpipers, who recorded a cover of the song in 1968. The YouTube system gives the revenue to whoever claims fastest. Well done The Sandpipers. To be honest, I don't fear greatly for Paul McCartney's finances. I think that if he wants to put the heating on, he is unlikely to hesitate because of financial worries.
The band I was in had to stop getting together because of the covid-19 pandemic, and someone suggested that we all strum along to a click-track of 'All My Loving', and I got a bit carried away.
The technology used was nothing sophisticated. I had a click-track playing in my headphones, which had been recorded by someone else, who had picked a slowish tempo, and had strummed uke and sung to it, and I played along. I could not hear any previous takes that I had recorded. I just heard the same thing each time - a very straight version of the song, plus clicks for tempo. This partially explains my own rather approximate harmonies and timing. Another partial explanation is incompetence.
Normal tanks and spears will be resumed as soon as possible.

I read that the Ukulele was George Harrison's favorite instrument. He would carry 2, so he could always teach someone!
Love it. I don't mind paying for it. Nice to hear a serious session of you singing and playing for a change. Wouldn't mind hearing more, and seeing some more of your jumpers, frankly. I bet your neighbours must have loved it as well. :)
It is entertaining and don’t mind being charged for it
It just means that even if you bought a licence from the official copyright holders you'd still get a copyright claim from The Sandpipers. That's how Youtube works.
That's why I normally write my own music. It may be crappy but I have a slightly lower risk to have my videos wiped off the web by some random company.
Normal tanks and spears please.
A sign of the times we live in. As a fan of both the Beatles and Lindybeige, I enjoyed this mash-up thoroughly.
Not going to lie, I love this. And I'm sure we're all close to doing things like this by now.
This is very good! We don't just need tanks and spears. We need more of this!
How many jumpers, that look differently on camera, do you have?
Enough to be difficult to count.
This is good Lloyd.
The best bit was at 2 minutes and 54 seconds.
Brilliant! Pitch perfect for the times I think. Loved it.
Simply, a thing of beauty. Play on!
