The coming revolution in role-play games?
I'm back from several trips away, the last being to Switzerland, where I shot a fair few videos. All going well, this will mean an increase in my video output soon. Anyway, this one's about role-play gaming, which is one of my interests. The video describes a new game which has an innovative approach, which gets players away from the usual fights and treasure hunts, and towards drama, exploring the relationships between characters.

Thank you for mentioning HHGG! I was privileged to meet Douglas at a book signing in the late 70's, and I have all five Phases of the radio series. I love that they were able to bring him in as Agrajag. The radio series is one of my favourite things to play during long drives in California. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I can really recommend Burning Wheel as a more traditional roleplaying-ruleset that does most of the things you described! The whole character creation is based on the relationships, believes & goals of the partymembers and incourages intertwining them. It even rewards playing out dramatic (story)actions that'll bite the character in the ass, by baiting you with special points for following your believes.
