I am happy for Yuzu, really I am, but when she asked the maid what Reiya was like and the only response she got was his social status, I nearly screamed in frustration! I am here for the romance, damnit, and that requires two people. People! Not a person and a sexy cardboard cutout! Sincerely hoping that there is more to his personality than just doting on Yuzu (although that is cute). OK, watched the rest of the episode. We have a little bit of personality with the hints of him being conniving, but I think I still need a bit more from him. I mean, I'm not expecting Fruits Basket levels of peak here, but give me something! (To clarify, I'm not saying its a bad show. It is fun "validation slop" and I'm loving it for that, but it is not sating my need for romance!)

Sorry, this feels like a stripped down version of My Happy Marriage, and it doesn't even get close. I'll watch a couple more episodes but unless there's a major change I'm dropping this. (How is this a 4.8 on crunchyroll?)

Commenting this before I finish the episode so maybe I'll eat my words. I find it really cute how and interesting how the oni have this immediate love and affection at first sight thing, the way he acts comfortable and affectionate with her makes it feel like they've been together awhile despite just meeting which makes the romance feel very mystical and magical in nature, like a true love soul mate type thing rather than it coming across as like "I see pretty girl I like, she's my property." Only 7 minutes in and he gives me a vibe of someone who just enjoys being around someone he loves rather than being obsessed and lusting after her or something. Again I could end up eating my words and it goes in that direction, but so far I really like it.

I love some comically evil level characters.
