womens rugby is insane.
To be honest, I don't know about the American's men's soccer team at all before the World Cup, but I definitely knew that the American women's soccer team is a big thing. That's saying something considering I'm not even American.
I love that the plot of this episode is essentially Ace Ventura Pet Detective.
Drooling over the 4 episode drop today!! This is one of those episodes that the team loses, but I think it makes the show more grounded in realism instead of always making it in the nick of time. It keeps up the suspense. W call on the lore of the unsub! I love when you surprise yourselves with being correct, especially if your guess is poised as a mostly unserious throwaway comment 馃槀 Shoutout to women鈥檚 sports! As a former high school soccer girlie, the disrespect was so real. Our soccer teams regularly outperformed the football team. Despite that, parents and older teammates had to coordinate carpools to some games while football players always had bussing provided. We weren鈥檛 allowed to use the high school football field and had to play our home games at the middle school. And our equipment was always ancient. Our teacher sponsor was not a coach. We got lucky that college level players volunteered to coach us. Schools aren鈥檛 wrong that most other sports bring in significantly less revenue, but it鈥檚 such a catch 22. If they just invested resources into promoting those sports and making them spectacles in the same way (quality facilities and equipment, pep rallies, bands, cheer and dance teams) people would actually show up and invest in it. Hopping off my soapbox now. Love the reactions!
I love the actor who plays the chief (the actors name is Jason Beghe). He always delivers such great emotion, and his voice, which is due to an accident, really helps deliver the gruff exterior his characters always give off.
And you know what extra sucks? They probably could have found the guy and the girls much sooner if they were called even 1 or 2 days earlier
Like I said last season. They don't always save everyone. And bit by bit the bad guys will always get more victories
Mammon is a bible word meaning material wealth. It's also the name of the demon king of the Greed Ring in Hellavua Boss, the one Fizz used to work for, and is why it sounded familiar. :)
I feel like this is one of those episodes where the team absolutely failed, they accomplished nothing. Even the people they had evidence on was only relevent because they were looking for a suspect whereas the cops weren't. I mean, they got the girl to point out the guy but he had showed his face and obviously didn't give af at that point
One of the episodes that I skips whenever I rewatch the show. Just so sad and disturbing. One of the rare times the Unsub truly, definitively won. (P.S. The actor who plays the sheriff in this episode is always playing a cop. ALWAYS. So much so they gave him the lead role in Chicago PD.)
