I really like that Emilia referred to Archi as "Big Brother", even tho he was a minor character in her flashback... it feels nice that his efforts and care for her didn't go unacknowledged.
From what i remember of all my rewatches the lines of Geuse in season 1 that stick the most are "With my arm, my fingers, you killed her", that its very obvious Geuse was kind of projecting, but even more when Subaru is all broken mentally and Geuse calls him out for "faking" being insane, Geuse is very specific and very triggered but kind of like he isnt only talking just about Subaru. I think that while Pandora is the main reason for Geuse going insane, the second is his "sloth", he acts insane as a way to not think about the fact he killed fortuna, his sloth is the fact that he refuses to acknowledge that he is more sane than he seems but the pain is so much he refuses to
Nah, he doesn't even react to Emilia in the timeline that Emilia kills him - in fact, Emilia is the one who reacts by crying when she kills him, even though she doesn't understand why. Good thing that didn't happen in this timeline cause I don't think Emilia could handle the recontextualization of what she did. Like, in general, I think it's pretty clear that Geuse doesn't have good compatibility with the Sloth Witch Factor - the anime doesn't go over it's effects as much but Unseen Hand specifically grows stronger when it is used to do things the User doesn't really care about or thinks is unimportant. That's why Sin Archbishop Geuse can summon more hands or use them without any backlash compared to his use of them in the Flashback, cause his insanity means he doesn't truly care about anything anymore. It's also why Subaru can only summon a single hand and always suffers backlash - because his compatibility with Sloth is even worse than Geuse's. And he almost always uses it as a last resort - aka. when the Unseen Hand is at it's weakest.
Bruh... Call Verity...

So glad you’re enjoying the show! The character development in this show finds such wonderful ways to surprise me. It is also so rewarding to watch through more than once, both for the little details you pick up on, but also seeing how far the characters have all come 💖
Thank you so muchfor the uploads. The wait is KILLING me lol
Subaru's First Trial: Heartfelt reunion with family members. Emilia's First Trial: TRAUMAAAAAAA!!!! Emilia' Second Trial: Heartfelt reunion with family members. Subaru's Second Trial: TRAUMAAAAAA!!!! Also, this is the FIRST and ONLY time we have seen Echidna actually shed tears. 😲 Ryuzu, Beatrice, Roswaal, everything in the past: not a single drop. Emilia's choosing the f*d up real world over the fake dream: Almost bawling. Definitely made me think there is more to Echidna's relation to Emilia than she is letting on. Definitely some of the best character and thematic writing I've seen in an anime. Only a couple more episodes to go before Season 2 Finale! Just wanted to say I appreciate your reactions and thoughts on the series so far. Thanks Alicia and enjoy! 😁
Yeayyy!! thank you for the upload. Glad that you're loving the show! We need more re:zero content if possible heh (pwetty please! lol)! Things are getting so good and we need to catch up to season 4 asap! hahaha
"with my arm, my fingers, you killed her". Man, Geuse and Fortuna are such a goddamn tragedy.
Man... This is a good-ass show.
Damn, Alicia been on it with the uploads this week, appreciate it
So one thing that isn't mentioned in the anime is Emilia never looks at her reflection. That's why she hesitated to look in the mirror and she finally looked at herself in the water at the end. She was always afraid to look at herself due to her being a half-elf.
i'm not sure if what im going to say is accurate but i think that also during her contract with puck, puck might have amended the contract so that she COULDNT see her own reflection so that she doesn't dwell on her resemblance to the witch but most importantly: because she was trapped in the ice as a kid, her body dismorphia might have freaked her out to see herself as a young child but her body/reflection would show that she's a teenager and borderline adult body. Which might have caused her panic attacks or fear. He did it protectively similar to sealing her memories, without knowing the side effects that you may have had a past that you're not happy with, but it's that past who makes you who you are today: so emilia always felt like she's just a shallow shell, and doesn't know her own mind since she can't remember anything but also couldn't even see her own reflection to see who she is now. So that's why she even hesitated to see herself in the mirror at first because of that engrained fear, but then only after she's MADE PEACE with her unthinkable present, was she finally able to look at herself without fear or judgement, and that's when she realized that she doesn't look EXACTLY like her mother fortuna (that's the closest mental image she had of herself), but instead she finally saw HERSELF, who SHE is, not who her mother fortuna is, not who the people afraid of her claimed she is, not what others boasted that she is, but her raw unfiltered version of herself of who EMILIA is, finally, for the first time ever.
