You can now perform installations and service calls at Commercial Venues in the Technician Active Career. A dialog will give you the choice between Residential or Commercial when requesting a Work Order. Businesses owned by active households are currently still excluded. However you can still call the NPC for installation when playing on that lot.
Sims can now pay with their SNB Bank Account! A new Pay with SNB button will show up in your Bill Statement if SNB Bank is installed. Note: This is an unofficial integration so you should contact Lot 51 for issues with this specific feature instead of SimRealist. Issues regarding the SNB mod in general should still be deferred to SimRealist.
A §15 processing fee will be added to your bill if using the Pay with SNB payment method.
Lots can completely opt out of the Simzlink mod gameplay by adding the "Free Public WiFi" Lot Challenge. (Note: this is different than Commercial Mode. Commercial Mode still requires a Router on the lot, and will experience service disruptions, just disables passwords and billing since there isn't a lot owner)
More Changes:
Sims should no longer put their Tech Tablet on the ground.
Added the BuyCatEE_MiscElectronics tag to the list of WiFi enabled objects which should now include the Streaming Drones.
You can now easily check your Bill Statement when contacting Simzlink Customer Service from your phone or computer.
An element of "Story Progression" has been added; Anytime you travel to a lot that is owned by an NPC, Simzlink will check if bills are due and charge the owning household. If the household cannot afford their bill then normal delinquency effects will occur. This should prevent all your neighbors from becoming perpetually delinquent. Eventually these NPCs may run out of money as well, but seems like the lesser of two evils.
If you don't want to travel to a specific residence or venue, you can now request a new work order while at home.
Customer Service call durations have been reduced to make the dialogs appear faster.
Additional requirements have been added to the "Disconnected from the World" effects. Sims will only feel the effects if they have the Webmaster, High Maintenance, or Geek Trait; in the Bored mood; or near Social failure.

Sims in the Technician career will properly receive their paycheck after 7 days. You will no longer see the default "End of Shift" dialog and will see a new paycheck dialog on Pay Day.

Temporarily disabled Internet requirements when uploading music tracks/videos from the inventory.

Fixed an issue with apartments that would cause you to travel and become a visitor of your own lot when your installation appointment began.
Fixed an issue with the Complete 3 Work Orders goal being fulfilled by a single work order.
Fixed an issue where Technicians could not quit their job.
Fixed the chance of an advertisement including a coupon. There's a 5% chance of an advert being delivered each day with a 50% chance of a coupon.
Added interactions for the DJ Booth, Music Mix Station, Video Production Station, and Streaming Drone to the "requires internet" list.
Tracks can still be created on the mix station and played at a dj booth while offline, however you will not be able to post updates, live stream, or upload tracks/videos.
Preparation for non-residential gigs during the active career in a future update.

hey im having trouble with the mod as soon as i downloaded cottage living my mod is now not working i turned on the router and got the wifi password and then tried to call the customer service but theres nothing appearing on my phone at all its just blank im wondering if maybe the mod isnt compatible with cottage living but if you could please give me some insight on the matter id greatly appreciate it
certain parts of the worlds will not have access to internet unless they use satellite dishes or might not have service at all; you can check via the Service Map on the Lot51 Simzlink site
Hi! I just downloaded your mod. I’m not able to watch T.V at all. I’ve installed the router and have internet but I can’t watch anything on tv. Second when I use the active career (detective) there’s a few computer options aren’t popping up. I made the lot free to public, but still nothing. Is there anyway to fix these two problems? Thank you! Loving the mod🥰

Is this now compatible with SNB?
SNB Bills is still the same where you will need to subscribe to both mods for Internet/TV to work. But SNB Bank is now integrated so you can pay your Simzlink bill with your Bank account!
with this mod on i can't seem to get the video station to connect so i can upload recorded videos, and i can't get the mobile streaming devices to connect either, what am i doing wrong?

Thank you so much for this mod! Will you be considering ways that Sims can get promotions in this active career? For example I noticed if your Sim has programming level 3 they will be able to repair or install a router on their home lot. Can you make the Sim work on their programming skill while at work? And /or make it that if they increase their programming level they will get a raise? Perhaps include other tasks like repair computer?
Yeah! those sounds like great ideas. I've thought about giving 5% raises every now and then like a salary. But there should definitely be more things to do than having to travel and install/repair all the time.

Hello, are you unable to view the bill statement at all, or is the pay now button just greyed out? If its greyed out, you can only pay once they're are due.

hey there, love the mod but they get angry and frustrated on public lots when there's no internet, is that supposed to be a thing? and will i have to have internet installed on every public lot to keep it from happening?
I want to echo that -- it was suuuper hard do University while living in the dorms and university housing because the installer never showed up either.
My sim keep turning off the router and isnt able to upload videos from the more videos station cause its saying that the router isnt in range
Are there any known issues where the Sim intentionally turns off the router? This has been my issue when my Sim is using the computer the next action is turn off router (Sim autonomy I suppose) 🤨
So this was supposed to be a feature where mischievous would turn it off on your other sims, but I am going to disable it in my next version until I can rebalance it.
Hey I am having an issue with receiving income with this career I have been playing with the technician career for 2 sims weeks and my Sim has not been paid for any of the work orders.

This mod is awesome but my toddlers can no longer watch videos on the wabbit tablet because they don't have the wifi password and I cant see the option to get it for him

Hi, I am having a issues when quitting the actual job itself. It won't let me quit and when I go in to find a new job, thinking it will remove the simzlink job, it just adds the other job and keep the simzlink. I really like this mod a lot. I only wanted to quit the job because my sim works for the company but needs internet himself and no technician will come out when I send him to work alone and his wife is at home still. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi! It looks like there's an issue with quitting the job, I will check that out 😭If you want service at your own home, you'll have to call Customer Service from your phone and schedule an installation. You can also purchase a router from build/buy and have a sim with level 3 programming do a self-install which doesn't require a technician.
