Ghosted #FormerEAPartner
First, thank you to everyone who commented on my original post about EA. You have inspired me to keep making things! I really appreciate everyone, my Test Subjects, that have supported me up until now and those who support me in the future.
My time has apparently come to an end in the EA Creator Network.
In my attempt to specifically get my Creator Code deactivated and specifically leave the Support a Creator program, whether it be incompetance or a deliberate choice, EA removed me from the whole Creator Network program.
It took over a week for someone to acknowledge my initial request. Now nearly 2 weeks later I again haven't been able to get any response, smoke signal, carrier pigeon, anything from any contact at EA. Their silence has really said a lot. I'm not expecting things to happen immediately at the snap of my fingers, but it shouldn't be too much to ask of a global corporate business to at least give an acknowledgement they received my message in a timely manner to their "partners". Especially when they constantly tell us they are "here for us".
It's safe to say I will not be purchasing any packs in lieu of the free codes anymore, so any new mods/creations will not use future DLC and I won't have access to their tuning, strings and icons for the Tuning Builder. Writing this made me realize other creators are going to suffer from this decision, I am sorry for that. (Edit: My mods will still continue to be updated for patches! Core Library is also currently backwards compatible back to 1.115 and will continue to do so)
I wish it didn't happen like this, but it really is the cherry on top of the whole situation. It's a sign for me that it wasn't meant to be. It's a sign for the future, private equity hasn't even taken over yet. All I can do now is laugh at the total buffoonery and move on. As I said before, this is still not the end of me!
"Keep Moving Forward"
📞 Patrons will have a call on line 2 about my next mod soon, things are progressing faster than I expected on it.
🔑 Suite Life Keychains will be going on sale after Thanksgiving! Take a l👀k below. Each order will include a holographic sticker and a mini Build Guide brochure with all the info you need to get your hotels setup right. Only 51 keychains were made!
They will be priced at $6 and shipping will be around $4.50 via USPS depending on your location. $4 from each keychain will be donated to Feeding America to help put food on the table for families in need right now.
Note: All merch in my shop will only be available to United States addresses (all 50 states, no territories) until I am able to integrate customs declarations for packages.
I will keep y'all updated as always,
<3 Lot

wanted to make sure you had the new TDESC update file released today? If not and it is needed, I will be happy to send it your way!! Please reach out:)
Those are thankfully public hehe but thank you!
I am sorry for what you are going through. I have just recently became a fan of yours and I absolutely adore your content. ty so much for all of the work that you put into it and thanks for being loyal to the followers. I hope that everything work out and we do know that there is a real person behind everything that y'all as creators do. I hope that everything works out for the best for you and I hope that nothing but greatness comes from this mess.
Appreciate the committed effort in the midst of a storm. Its a feeling as if you want to press and hold the delete button or stay the course. I am currently debating this knowing that how I play the game has and will change. I have as many have, put a lot of money and time into a game I started with THE SIMS. Its like Tomb raider for me. Do you want it to end !
You're a fantastic creator (I especially love your birds and farm animal mods <3), and it baffles me how they have treated you :o
A sign of better things to come...burnt toast theory, something like that. It's 100% EA's loss, you are such a fantastic creator!
They lost a good one! Their loss...Not yours, Keep doing BIG things!!!
OMG thank you! I saw this earlier before it was edited and was worried about patches. (I've been forced to update my game even when I had auto updates off.) I don't plan on supporting the game's future, but want to be able to continue with where it is at now. Your mods are everything! You do such an amazing job! Also, screw them for doing that to you! They may provide the platform, but it is modders like you that make the game worth it.
EA will keep being "EA"...and that's precisely why we are at this junction. With all the mods that depend on Core Library, this potential change is going to be a tough pill to swallow for the modding community. I imagine that they too will have to make a decision. Keep your head up. You're doing fantastic things.
Whaaaa? Ah bloody hell. Well, let me know if you need any support. Im sorry to hear this. Chin up. Youre doing great x
How can we purchase the keychains? Here on Patreon?
They will be on my website. I’ll make another post once they are live!
You are not alone!!
Don't lose sight of the fact you modded because you enjoyed modding. Big corporations suck the joy out of everything. Don't let their rudeness let you lose sight of all the people that appreciate your work ❣️!
It's sad to hear what they did to you. Ill probably be ending it once I get the last expansion and kits. But your mods have been beneficial to my game along with a few others who left on their own choice. I'm just greatful that I'll still be able to use your mods.
Very disrespectful and out of touch for them to cut you off like that. The anger this kind of behaviour will create against EA in the community is immeasurable. Your mods are essential for a lot of mods to function and your words carry weight within the community.
Thank you for all you do. As I never plan to buy future packs, I will just to be happy to see how mods like Suite Life grow and develop in the future and I appreciate all you do to support fellow modders as well. Not here for EA, but here for you. :)
I just got banned just because the sims in my personal library were in maxis underwear
I am so upset over EA not responding to you- Many mods depend on your core library and to put restraints on the ones that add so much to their game is a disgrace! EA releases files for modders, I can forward it-LOL!! Please don't let EA ruin your creativity and please keep modding! Will we still be able to use your mods? You say they will still update- is that with new packs that might come out in the future? Arnie, a pretty awesome modder, is not affiliated with EA anymore either and I was wondering if Modders could unite for their own Sims network? Just makes sense!
I'm imagining EA is in a lot of turmoil. There may be staff leaving, positions not getting filled , etc. I'm a little confused- does this mean you won't be updating your mods for future patches?
Perfect time to get out for everyone... I added an edit to clarify: My mods will still continue to be updated for patches! Core Library is also currently backwards compatible back to 1.115 and will continue to do so
Wise words, and I'm very glad you're leaving that "nest"... your art and skills will continue to be highly appreciated by those who always have been... Sims 4 players, not EA. I eagerly await the chance to buy that merchandise someday, from Europe! Keep going! We don't need more packs; we have plenty. As I said before, there won't be any more money for EA. I prefer to spend it on you, content creators and modders... It might also be a good time to expand into other games/platforms. I'm a content creator in Second Life, my full-time job for the last 10 years. I'm also starting to think about exploring Inzoi as a "job" or other platforms. We don't owe anything to EA, but we do owe a lot to those of you who kept Sims 4 alive many years ago—the content creators and modders. Simple!
I'm bummed to hear that future packs won't be supported in Tuning Builder, but I understand and respect your decision. I imagine it was mostly incompetence that got you removed from the Creator Network as a whole. It was nice getting early access to the tuning IDs while it lasted.
That's a shame, tuning wise, but otherwise ngl? Good thing you're out of there. Hanging around such a program that's just a PR thing is so not good, and I'm saying that because I used to be part of a similar program. I left it earlier this year because of this same treatment. Feedback wasn't listened to, we were really there just for show and there were people there that I felt didn't deserve the role but they had it anyway. So good on you, man 👍. And I can't stress how much I appreciate your works \o/
If I understand what you're saying correctly and this means your core won't be updated for future patches/DLC, meaning other mods can't update using it, I'm stopping right here and not updating my game anymore. I had pretty much decided to do that anyway because I'm sick of updating every month and the breakage it causes. It's sad to see what greed is doing to everything and all the people it impacts. Maybe if enough people stop at 1.119, mods can be perfected for that version, modders can fix the issues EA never will, and it might be a good thing. I have a feeling though, that it's going to divide the TS4 community like what happened to the Skyrim community, with a major chunk holding back and never updating, and the rest moving forward, and everyone losing out because of it.
All of my mods will still be updated for future patches! Just not adding in special DLC integrations.
Am I understanding correctly that you have no intention to keep the Tdesc builder updated for future packs? Are packs-newer-than-today tuning, strings, and icons not something we can simply toss you in a zip file every patch? Or 8 modders each toss you 5 bucks once every 6 months to buy the latest pack...? I feel like completely dropping furthered development of the Tdesc builder for future content is an extreme that doesn't make a lot of sense...at least when it comes to access to the files required to do so, I guess. I of course understand future tunings can be opened in it and edited with it and it's mostly just inconvenient from here on out if there's new stuff to fiddle with in it. But maybe I'm misunderstanding and it's less about access to the files and more about EA... Just wondering from the perspective of a nervous modder lol. The Tdesc builder is the best thing to ever happen to Sims 4 modding. I know it'll still be usable (and the tdescs themselves are public) but I got super worried seeing that bit lol If you tag the right people on Bluesky or Twitter they'll get you back in, but I get it if you don't want back in. It's ridiculous they mistook the request so poorly. Sorry.
If people want to send the dlc files, sure I'll upload them. But relying on other people for it makes it more difficult to keep it up to date and consistent. I'm not sure why it would be my fault and an "extreme" for not wanting to send EA money after all that has happened. The tuning builder is not required to be able to view the tuning, sure it's convenient but you're not losing the core functionality based on the tdescs.
No one will ever blame you for standing up for your principles and for that you’ll always have my respect.
U are greatly supported & appreciated! We will follow u, take the lead. This may open a new realm to perfecting aspects of the game as is, can I learn to mod? They will not overrule us that easily! Again, Thank you! & now to go snag me that dope keychain 🔑 🤩 Cuz wuhhhhh! Got Tees, socks, sweaters, beanies n tings? My Christmas list got room.. 👊🏾
Is ther a way to get a hold of you cus I have issues with the suit life mod, or what it is called, the one with hotels.

This makes me so incredibly sad AND I completely understand and am entirely behind you! Take care of yourself and I can’t wait to see what new mods you have up your sleeve ❤️
We understand. At the end of the day, EA has began making changes that seem to not be In favor of creators/gamers. of course I love your work but I also support you. The sims won’t be the same in a year give or take and it’s the choice EA made.
