Hey I'm a bit late to this but I have some ideas! 1. I know drum processing tutorials have been done in the past and mentioned as an idea for a future video as well already. I'm curious about how you process an entire kit to glue it all together. The drum loop from Remnants called Instant Heat is a good example. They sound fat and punchy and warm and all that good stuff... 2. Do you use a template for new projects? What's included in the template? (Drums, instruments, etc) Is there any mix bus processing already in the template that you would just tweak to fit the track? Any useful tools or racks already in the template or that you always reach for? I am really wanting to build out a template for myself to streamline the creative process and ensure the sounds I'm using are quality. I've started collecting instruments I like from all my tracks and effects racks that sound good, but would love to know what you guys do!

Honestly, I've been going through all the tutorials this month, and they're insane. Seeing how you approach starting tracks and building elements is insanely useful. Still trying to get the hang of the bass creation, as it's a lot more of a surgical and technical process than I'm used to. I see a lot of people say they struggle to nail this, and if things aren't done right the sound can be thin or have issues. Maybe just more ideas from scratch, getting bass patches made, and further resampling? If there's no way to explain it further then that's cool, just wanna be a master of bass design!

I'd love to have a tutorial specifically on creative and unusual techniques for processing drums - specifically for creating textured effected loops that can be used to underpin the main drum groove.

Im not sure if you guys already talked about this, but; how did it went after you guys just were discovered and started doing gigs and selling your music, merch etc. (and more aspects of being a professional). Do you guys have any advice and tips for people and me who secretly dream of ever becoming one too one day. 🤗 Like to prepare for what to expect. Maybe you guys already talked about it.

A tutorial on how to turn multiple different bass patches / samples into a cohesive mixdown would be awesome!

Would love a breakdown of how you prepare music for sets and perform live (if that doesn't already exist somewhere). How you incorporate whatever hardware/instruments, daw trickery, all the stuff thats gone wrong that you've learned from, what makes things unnecessarily complicated, what surprising thing drastically improves your touring lives, etc etc.. Bonus points if you happen to have any clever ideas for live vocals that are processed to death. I'm half of an electronic duo and we still haven't really sorted out how best to perform live in a way that isn't just cdj karaoke.

Can you please make a video on music theory and what kind of music theory and practice we should focus on for this kind of music? Like you guys, I'm a huge Go Go Penguin fan! I've been trying to deconstruct their tracks to understand their compositional techniques. A breakdown of their approach to rhythm and harmony would be incredible. Which scales work best in electronic music? I want to move beyond just using minor scales - how can I incorporate modes like Phrygian Dominant or others to add unique flavors without making things sound jarring or out of place? What are the tricks to making modal music sound cohesive and intentional? Also I'd really like to level up my polyrhythmic skills and learn how to create more sophisticated arrangements. How can I develop interesting interplay between melodies and chord progressions?

Also, a really cool series would just be to watch you guys make a tune. Would happily watch one even if it was a few episodes and multiple hours. I understand it’s a lot of effort though!

A tutorial on managing multiple rhythms would be great. Your tracks often layer several patterns that still feel rhythmically tight. I’d love to understand how you decide what to keep tight vs. loose, how you use sound design, arrangement, etc. to keep everything clear and easy to follow. For example, do you have a 'parent' rhythm and have sounds play off that timing? ..Hope that makes sense!

Mixing advice would be great! Specifically how to balance the low end and how to get consistently good sounding mixes across different speakers and listening environments

Programming realistic shuffle and breaks MIDI drum patterns for acoustic drum VSTs like Superior Drummer. The drums in songs like "Lost In Thought" sound fantastic, and it would be great to have some insight into how to program MIDI drum parts like that. Also, the track-from-scratch videos like the Glitchy D&B one have been incredibly helpful! Any more like those would be hugely appreciated, thanks 🙏

Halftime track start to finish :) Something like what was on the Echoes EP. That way you can cover all aspects of the idea.

I want to improve drum production. I wonder about making tunes like Cardinal, and the View From Above remix. I sometimes struggle with fitting production methods into tunes, I can make stuff that sounds pretty solid now, but in context is really difficult, sometimes too overwhelming that I just leave the project and move onto a new idea. I get really stuck with little things, like making solid transients in context, how loud tails should be in relation to the transient and again in context with the tune. I struggle with starting mixing things too early on and getting carried away with it to the point where the creativity runs very dry, but I also don’t fully trust myself to just be super creative and fix it later. I sometimes feel like I shouldn’t have to fix stuff later. I often find that balancing everything in a mix can be really tricky. I have a fairly good idea of how loud stuff should be, but again, in context that is super tricky. At the moment, I’ve been really enjoying tunes like ‘Vibrant, Forgotten Myths and The Zulla’, so fitting Foley into tunes as bass textures (and overall textures) as well as the more percussive side of drums (particularly on AD2/SD3) would be really, really appreciated. I do really struggle with arrangement sometimes, less so with arranging the tune, more arranging the frequencies. Which certainly feels like a mixdown thing, in fairness. But if I knew how to layer my sounds, I would trust the process of mixing further down the line a lot more and could probably get quite a lot of stuff finished. Sorry for the really long comment!

Agree with TP's comment below. BUT track breakdowns for Infinite Funk and Lost in Thought would probably be good to add, because - Infinite Funk, along some of your other even older tunes, could be very helpful for glitch hop arrangement/composition/melodicism. All about the trick of stringing together scattered sounds into melodies for glitch hop. Maybe a glitch-funk how-to series is in order; this feels like one missing link you could enrich the tutorial base with? - Actually, related to the above point, a cool thing for a tutorial might be pulling out specifically just the small details from your glitch/heavy tunes to explore how all your tiny percussion and background noises make a heavy tune breathe beautifully. This is the thing people miss about the brilliance of Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites - yeah, everyone knows the dude is a genius because he invented his giant FM growls and vocal chops, but everyone misses that the dude is also a genius because that EP is so crammed full of tiny little percussive and textural details that give it its deep groove and make you want to listen to it over and over forever. That's why it sounds so great. So how about a video that looks at all the tiniest parts of ten your heaviest tunes? Probably part of this would be serially mentioning "...and you can find a deep dive on how we built this shuffle layer in our other video [other video title]" but a dedicated video pooling many instances of this topic in one place could be great! - Both of these songs show you working with live instrumentation; would love to learn about the process of assembling the funk band arrangement for Infinite Funk and then pulling it apart - Lost in Thought is one of your most serene, soft tunes; lovely contrast to explore there, and also the working with clean acoustic drums for a change

How to keep songs interesting on the scales of the micro (ex. subtle sound morphing), meso (ex. melodies and their variations), macro (ex. section of the song). Balancing cohesion with surprise in a songs narrative and structure. How sound design can complement/enhance a songs sonic world

This couldn't have come at a better time, I'm just starting getting into music again after life kicked my ass, there's already so much covered. Id like to see how you take an average idea and turn it into something amazing. I think Underbelly has a category of videos where people send in a mediocre track and he works on it to take it to the next level!

Designing FX to match the style of song would be such a beneficial tutorial. I'd love to see how you approach mixing background effects and noises with the genre the song falls in
