🔥 Next Update — Character Customization & Major Gameplay Improvements
The next update for The World After Silence is on the way, and this one is bringing some pretty big changes to both the character system and overall gameplay.
👤 Character Customization
Your character will now be visibly displayed in the left-side menu.
But it won't be just a static image. Your character will visually reflect their current condition:
🩹 Wounds and injuries
🩸 Scratches and scars
👕 Damaged and torn clothing
👚 Clothing changes will be immediately visible on your character
🎨 More character customization options
The goal is to make your character feel like an actual part of the world rather than just a collection of statistics.
🤰 Pregnancy System
A new pregnancy system is also being added.
If you're playing as a female character, pregnancy will become a possible part of your survival story. NPCs will also be able to become pregnant, making the system part of the wider world rather than something limited to the player.
🎒 Inventory & Storage Rebalance
The inventory and storage systems are getting a major balance pass.
We're adjusting:
Inventory capacity
Storage capacity
Item management
Character stats
Gameplay balance
The goal is to make resource management more meaningful without making inventory management unnecessarily frustrating.
💪 Character Stats Matter More
Your characteristics will now have a much greater impact on gameplay.
Strength, Endurance, Perception, Medicine, Mechanics, Scavenging, Diplomacy, Combat and other stats will play a larger role in determining what your character can do and how effectively they can do it.
We're also rebalancing the entire character-stat system so the different builds feel more meaningful.
🌍 More Polish & Fixes
And, of course, there are a number of smaller improvements and fixes:
Fixed untranslated text that was still appearing in English incorrectly
Improved various UI texts
General balancing and polishing
Additional bug fixes
This update is focused on making your character feel much more alive and connected to the world.
Your appearance, condition, equipment and characteristics will all matter more than before.
