RetroArch on Mister - Update 1.3
Fixes for different display modes, frontend fixes, faster installation and first boot, 1000+ additional video snaps
Major bug with last version where it gave you 'checking library' error forever
Installer dropped from thousands of files down to 52 files total
Now choose to download ZIP or install from Update_All script
2 Install methods - Choose only 1
1. Update_All method - better, easy updates
I don't provide roms - you will need to click here to search for it yourself
“MAME 2003 Plus MiSTer FPGA”
Extract the rom set onto your misters sd card root folder so the roms end up in games/mame2003plus/romshere.zip
For example: games/mame2003plus/aliens.zip
STEP 2 - GET RETROARCH ON YOUR MISTER
Download downloader_retroarchmister.ini only
Extract it to your mister sd card root folder - same place as mister.ini and downloader.ini
Run Update_All
Go to Scripts and run Install_RetroArch.sh - Required
Load RetroForge from the Other folder
Load from mra files directly from Arcade/Meatcores/RetroArch
1. Manual install - suggest deleting games/retroarch folder first

Load from mra files directly from Arcade/Meatcores/RetroArch

i think the next core you should adapt of retroarch is final burn neo, it is much lighter than mame.
Not lighter than 2003 plus mame though, and FBNeo has way way less games, we want all the other weird stuff

You can do that now .. the mister tab in this version is just the mister cores that are on your mister nothing else
Dunno if it's due to too long characters chain, but on filezilla, I cant copy 2 files (the ones in config/mame2003plus)

I’m sort of confused as to why you went this direction. Love having more FPGA cores, but I already have lots of devices that can run Retroarch more competently than the Mister can, and RetroArch’s UI is something I always want to avoid.
Cause it's cool to have all together and a fun challenge optimising retroarch to run on a potato! And you don't need to touch retroarch UI except for some control config maybe for games with weird controls, you can just use the mame UI also
Anyone else having tons of “no changes” and “removing” lines when running downloader? And it takes forever?
Archive has been having issues so it's prob that, this only pulls 52 files
Can the roms and vid clips be installed to a usb drive or is it sd card only?
roms can be, videos no not yet, will be in an update, you can just use image snaps no issue
