Outbreak Scenario 39
Your settlement sits beside a river that has shaped your defenses all summer. Infected crossed in small numbers on calm days, usually one or two at a time, and the watch could easily handle them. The river did most of the work for you.
This week a drought dropped the water level further than anyone expected. A wide land bridge opened, connecting your bank to the swamp on the far side. That swamp has been a dumping ground for infected since the outbreak began.
The first wave of zombies crossed at dawn. Forty infected stumbled across the exposed mud before your watchtower even sounded the alarm. Your perimeter fence held against that first group, but more keep coming.
Your settlement has eighteen people and enough ammunition for maybe two hundred rounds total. How do you handle the waves of zombies while your group defends?
