Writing Updates

Summer is almost over, and I'm excited for the fall and to wrap up Zombie Exodus: Stronghold. I have written almost 400,000 words based on the rewrite from the previous platform. I have set a goal of writing about 25,000 words on that project each month, then focusing on the free update for Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven. It's a lot of writing, but I’m enjoying both stories.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of hanging out on Discord with people to watch World War Z. About 20 people showed up over the two hours, and we watched and discussed the movie. It was a great time, and I'm hoping to offer more opportunities to watch movies with the community on Discord over the next few months. If there are any movies you'd like to suggest for the next watch party, let me know.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven

I'm working on the Teenager Storyline, phase two, which occurs in chapter 17. It's taking longer than I expected, but I'm liking the direction the story is taking. You take a trip with Brody and Madison to scavenge a camp in the woods. Your character meets a group of people who have been surviving on their own since the start of the outbreak but have had a very different experience. You can approach the scenario in many ways, with many possible outcomes. It's becoming one of my favorite scenes that I've written in Safe Haven.

Zombie Exodus: Stronghold

I'm currently writing chapter 14 and will be done by the end of this month, in time to post the next private demo. At this point in the story, your character is trying to make it to Zone 4 while being chased by a horde of zombies and a team of mercenaries trying to capture you. It's different from Safe Haven because the story is much faster-paced. I'm about 75% finished with the story, and I'm really trying to finish around the end of this year. I hope everyone enjoys it when the game finally releases.
