Cyberslayers 0.5.2 Status Update

Here is some news about the upcoming 0.5.2 update.

Overall, development is proceeding at a normal pace.

In recent weeks, it has been necessary to review a significant amount of writing work on the lore surrounding the Red District and the Bloody Rats.

The narrative framework is now ready, as are the various elements.

New locations

The Blue Hoyster is a gloomy cabaret introduced into the Bloody Rats storyline. Aline must go there as an undercover cop.

Narrative locations such as the corridor and an apartment have been designed and conceived for the storyline using Aline and Charlotte's skills and choices.

In this new mission, Charlotte will play an essential role, and the gameplay will be divided between her and Aline, each with their own role to play.

Character Design

Charlotte will have a new design for this chapter :

There will also be a new female character: Bellinda.

This character has been planned for a long time in the game's plot, and she is introduced in this update. I hope you like her design.

Playthrough, Lore and Improvments

My playthrough allowed me to correct some lore errors and awkwardness.

The roles of Billy, Bob, and Jason will be more precise, as will that of Police Captain McJohnson.

The Red District has a built-up lore where each location and character plays a role around the themes of turf wars, gangs, sex, and gambling. I'm trying to reflect the cyberpunk atmosphere as best I can.

This update will focus primarily on the infiltration mission so that it doesn't arrive too late. The Red District has a lot of stories to tell afterwards.

Overall, this update will focus on storytelling and tension in an infiltration mission that is slightly longer than the one in the Bloody Rats' basement.

As always, the choices made by Aline and Charlotte will have consequences.

I'm very excited to create this new part of the game and I hope you will like it.

It takes a lot of time, energy and effort from writing concept, to design characters and create the scenes but as always, my discipline and motivation are intact.

My overall life is balanced (friends, family, hobbies, staying on good shape) so I can keep going.
