I am vending at a local festival which runs from Tuesday to Saturday. It has been wild for sure. Every year we usually get a ton of rain for the festival, like huge downpour at least 1-2 of the days, this year we are wanting the rain. Day 1 temps hit 92 degrees and we are set up on a main street in the middle of town, so I was cooking. The last 2 days we have been dealing with toxic levels of air from the Canadian wild fires and my stuff is covered in fine ash. I am really scared for Canada and my heart goes out to my northern neighbors. I know some people down here have been very insensitive to the situation up there and I've heard some ridiculous conspiracy theories as well. I really hope they can get the fires out soon for the sake of the people and wildlife up there. I've seen videos and it's so scary. I can put up with some toxic air and ash but Canada is literally burning and so much is being wiped away. If you live up there and near any of the fires, please please stay safe.
I have a mask for the air and besides that and my feet hurting from standing all day, I'm good. Sure I'll complain about being sore and tired, and peopled out, but it pales in comparison to whats going up north. I'll look into what charities are raising money for aid up there and start sharing and boosting. if you know of any, feel free to share here or in the charity thread of the Discord. If your personally effected and are finally in a space place and end up with a fundraiser, please add the link in the Discord. We have come together as a community in the past and will continue to do so.
Besides that I have 2 days left of the festival, and my friend who is visiting leaves on Sunday, so Monday I will pack any current orders I have and start working on the Patreon rewards for this month, and announce the rewards for the next 2 months.
I have the rest of the week off from my regular job so I'll be playing catch up on stuff and getting ready for the Boston show. I feel like I've fallen behind on everything I wanted to have done for that event, but we will make it work.

We have dangerous levels of smoke here too. We're just far enough away we aren't getting any actual ash but we have had to wear masks any time we are outside. My neighbors kitty ,Prue, passed yesterday and we lay her to rest in her backyard. We wondered if the smoke had anything to do with her passing. I hope everyone stays safe and can enjoy the weekend. 💚💚
The poor kitty. give your neighbors a hug for me. It got to toxic levels here, and there was still people with their babies out in this. I'm not a fan of babies or kids, but even I was wanting to scream at the parents. They should of stayed home.
