Episode 0 - The Prologue
Hello our lovely supporters!
Things are moving fast over here, and we've got a few exciting updates you may have missed out on if you aren't subscribed on YouTube, Spotify, or social media!
We have the official name for the "Librarian" project - "Welcome to Isaiah". "Librarian" was always a good placeholder for the idea behind the project, but as we developed the town of Isaiah where this story takes place in, we settled on Welcome to Isaiah quite quickly. We'll be asking Indiegogo to update our crowdfunding project title to avoid confusion, so all further updates will be from "Welcome to Isaiah"!
This is so exciting! Episode 0 (The Prologue) drops tomorrow!!! While the full 8 episode series takes place in the town of Isaiah, Episode 0 is the final leg of our main character Jordan's drive into town.
We are just so happy with what we've written so far, and cannot wait until this project is out so we can show you all the behind-the-scenes stuff (but so much of it involves massive spoilers so we want to wait until launch week).
Our updated timeline feels fairly secure right now.
July: Force ourselves to accept that we can't keep writing forever and finalize the scripts and send them off to our 2 actors.
August: Recording complete.
September: Editing complete.
October: Production and mastering complete.
Late November/Early December: RELEASE! We won't be going week to week, all 8 episodes are going to drop for your binging pleasure!
Working on this has been life-changing for us. While it is an extremely dark topic, we've created characters that we deeply care about, and a story we think is important to tell. Speaking for myself (Caelan), I have never felt so fulfilled by the creative process in my life, and I am just so grateful and humbled by the opportunity to live a life where I can make art that can make a difference.
Episode 0: Prologue (5.5 minutes) drops tomorrow on YouTube, Spotify, and wherever there are podcasts. We'll be doing a premiere over on the YouTube page where we'll be hanging out in chat, we'd love if you came by!
