NEW: My Room My Stuff

Has it ever bothered you that your Sim has a perfectly good bedroom with a desk, mirror, bookshelf, and dresser, but they never act like those things really "belong" to them? They'll use any old surface to do their homework, including desks in their parents' or siblings' rooms. They'll wander into their parents' ensuite bathroom to use the tub when they have a bathroom attached to their own bedroom. None of it makes a lick of sense, so I decided to find out if I could put a stop to it. That's how My Room My Stuff came to be!

With the mod installed, assigning a Sim's bed will automatically grant them ownership over the items in that room, and near-exclusive access to any rooms that lead off their private room (like a closet or ensuite bathroom). Rooms with double or multiple beds are owned by ALL Sims with assigned beds in the room. Sims who own rooms will prefer using the objects in their room over items in other owned rooms. Sims will also prefer routing through their own rooms instead of other owned rooms to access shared spaces. Got a houseguest with an assigned bed? For the duration of their stay, that room will belong to them and have the same restrictions for non-owning household Sims as any other owned bedroom.

NOTE: If there is only one bathroom on the lot and it is an ensuite, access will not be restricted. Toddler wandering is also unrestricted, as toddlers have no sense of personal space.
