Current Progress of... stuff
Hey everyone! I know I've been pretty quiet as far as mod releases are concerned since the RA Expansion finished, so I wanted to give a bit of an update.
I've been incredibly busy working on a couple of different things that I'm going to be quite coy about purely because I don't want to reveal much until there is something substantial to reveal, but a few people know what I've been up to.
Audio Modding
So this is the first thing I want to talk about. I'm still working on bringing you guys more audio mods beyond the Ring Announcer expansion. I'm getting to a point now where I'm feeling very confident in being able to get commentary mods off the ground in a way we haven't been able to up until this point. I'm getting very close to having a complete, detailed set of metadata for commentary and ring announcing so that we can easily search for any sound we want to without having to spend an age on it. When that dataset is complete I will be making it public for everyone.
It will open up a lot of modding opportunities both for myself in terms of the kinds of audio expansions I might be able to put out, and for other modders that have already been doing amazing work with things like ring announcer and commentary replacement mods. This will hopefully make it a million times easier for those people to make awesome shit.
Entrance Modding
I'm not telling you anything about this yet hahahaha. I've been working a lot on this over the course of the last month, but it is something that is so far from being ready to show off that I'm very torn on how much I want to say about it, or whether I even want to say this much.
Either way, I'm currently working on something that I think will excite a lot of people. It's not going to come soon, it's going to take a good bit of time, and the shape of it could very well change a number of times between now and release. But if at any point you're feeling like things have been a bit quiet on my end, please be assured that the majority of my waking hours right now are going directly into trying to make something very ambitious, and very exciting.
GFX and the Call Name Compendium
Just to touch on these really quick, I've still got plenty of plans for GFX packs, specifically for retro/legend characters who've been done dirty with generic trons. The audio compendium also hasn't seen many updates in the last couple of weeks, but that will change at some point soon. I've got a long list of wrestlers, tag teams, championships and hometowns that I will be making call names for, and as always the call name compendium will be free for everybody whether they are a patreon subscriber or not.
