Los Santos Alive — The Genesis Update Available Now to Supporters
Los Santos has learned some new tricks.
The Genesis Update introduces a new foundation for Los Santos Alive, bringing faster conversations, a living emergency radio, smarter traffic stops, more aware NPCs, new callouts and a completely rebuilt installation experience.
At the centre of it all is Genesis — Motiveworks’ new AI platform built for real-time characters in games.
GENESIS IS HERE
Faster conversations, with replies beginning up to 3× sooner than Gemini Live.
Around 4× the voice selection at launch.
Voices built for characters, not assistants.
Sign in and play — no juggling provider accounts or API keys.
New players can try Genesis free before spending anything.
LSA now has an AI foundation designed specifically around the way characters need to behave inside a game.
THE RADIO IS ALIVE
Dispatch is now fully conversational.
Ask for backup, run checks, call in a pursuit or just speak naturally over the radio.
Dispatch knows the call you’re dealing with and responds to what is actually happening.
Responding officers acknowledge with their own callsigns, report when they’re en route and call out when they arrive.
Multiple officers can speak across the same radio exchange.
Units can talk directly to each other instead of every conversation being forced through Dispatch.
Ped checks now come back with the person’s actual record, and Dispatch is a lot better at figuring out who you meant even when a name isn’t heard perfectly.
CALLS THAT DON’T SIT STILL
New callouts can begin with the 911 report before the full scene unfolds.
Suspect vehicles can actually be out driving somewhere in the city instead of waiting politely at a marker.
Find them, pull them over, talk to the occupants and see where it goes.
If they run, it can become a real pursuit with backup and radio traffic around it.
Calls feel more like situations already happening in Los Santos rather than scenes waiting for the player to arrive.
TRAFFIC STOPS HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY
Drivers now verbally acknowledge being pulled over instead of silently accepting that you’ve lit them up.
If you stop multiple people, they can talk to each other during the stop.
Sometimes they might say something completely harmless.
Sometimes they might say something they probably didn’t want the officer standing outside to hear.
Stops now feel less like talking to isolated NPCs one at a time and more like dealing with actual people sharing the same situation.
Pursuits, searches, releases and surrenders have all received a lot of polish.
PEOPLE HAVE EARS NOW
NPCs can overhear conversations they weren’t directly part of.
Speak to someone in the street and nearby people may catch what’s being said.
Talk inside a vehicle and the conversation carries much less.
Characters are becoming aware of the world around them rather than only reacting when you address them directly.
LESS JANK. MORE LOS SANTOS.
A huge amount of polish has gone into everyday interactions.
Conversations behave more naturally when something goes wrong.
Police encounters, pursuits, searches and vehicle interactions have all been tightened up.
Foreign-language conversations behave properly with the voice system.
More of the little moments that used to break immersion have been cleaned up across the board.
INSTALLING LSA IS NO LONGER A SIDE QUEST
The old compressed package was around 200 MB.
The new installer is around 6 MB.
Updates are now essentially one click.
The installer remembers your setup and handles far more of the process for you.
If a required mod needs to be downloaded, LSA can detect it arriving in your Downloads folder and continue automatically.
Conflicting mods are detected before they cause problems.
Story Mode installation is much cleaner.
Microphone problems are caught before you get into the game wondering why nobody can hear you.
Installing LSA should now feel much closer to installing a game than assembling a mod folder.
LOS SANTOS DOESN’T WAIT FOR YOU ANYMORE
Dispatch knows what’s happening.
Officers talk over the radio.
Drivers acknowledge you.
Passengers talk among themselves.
NPCs overhear conversations.
Callouts move through the city.
People react to situations they weren’t explicitly scripted into.
The Genesis Update is available now.
Welcome back to Los Santos.

Do I have to pay Genesis to use the dispatcher's radio?
Any new for SWAT IA?
This same of realism dispatch ? Can we actually read what the AIs are saying, like in the video?
How do you change your call sign for the dispatcher? Also, I am enjoying it. I like it a lot. But like say I’m on a traffic stop I’ll call out to dispatch and all that stuff, but she’ll continuously give me calls during the stop. Does it not like update the status and kind of stop doing that when you’re busy or no?
Is there any plan for this to work in Spanish?
Si compa. solo al instalar eliges español
After I use my trail for the genesis how can I obtain more credit to use it? in other works where to subscribe or pay or top up credit for my API? Thanks! and also outstanding work love the update!
Thank you!! Glad you’re enjoying it 🙌 Once your free Genesis trial runs out, you can top up directly from the Genesis dashboard; it’s prepaid credit, not another monthly subscription. You can also keep using Gemini with your own API key if you prefer. Genesis is just the easier, more reliable, better voice integrated option.
I have blueline realism for dispatch. Does this work with that or replace it ?
Seperate dispatches; LSA dispatch can be toggled at any time so see if you enjoy it!
