AI Callouts Patch 1 (v0.7.1) – New Commands, Major Improvements & Fixes
This update focuses on improving the overall quality, reliability, and immersion of Los Santos Alive following the AI Callouts update.
A large amount of work has gone into refining existing systems, expanding NPC behaviours, fixing long-standing issues, and making interactions feel even more natural. While this isn't a major feature release, it lays further groundwork for the next wave of AI systems currently in development.
As always, thank you to everyone testing the update, submitting bug reports, sharing clips, and helping shape the future of Los Santos Alive.
New Features
New NPC Commands
NPCs can now:
Walk backwards towards the sound of your voice.
Turn around.
Sit on the ground.
Dynamically lean against your vehicle, intelligently selecting the hood, trunk, or side depending on where they're standing.
These additions make conversations and roleplay scenarios feel significantly more natural.
AI & Behaviour Improvements
Completely Overhauled NPC Archetypes
Every default archetype has been reworked and the list of recognised archetypes has been significantly expanded.
Citizens now better reflect the diverse personalities, occupations and lifestyles found throughout Los Santos, resulting in conversations that feel more authentic and better suited to the world around them.
More Independent NPC Behaviour
NPCs are now even more likely to:
perform actions on their own initiative
make independent decisions
react naturally without waiting for direct player instruction
This makes the world feel increasingly alive, with NPCs behaving more like real people than scripted characters.
Smoother Animation States
Numerous NPC animation transitions have been refined to produce smoother, more believable behaviour during interactions.
LSPDFR & PR Improvements
Complete Compliance Overhaul
Compliance is now fully controlled by Los Santos Alive.
Rather than relying on static scripted behaviour, suspects can now naturally escalate or de-escalate encounters based on the evolving situation, creating significantly more dynamic police interactions.
Performance & Stability
Traffic Stops Completely Fixed
Resolved the remaining issues affecting traffic stop reliability.
Traffic stops should now operate consistently and reliably across all supported scenarios.
Conversation Performance Improvements
Fixed the occasional performance drop that could occur while talking to NPCs.
Conversations should now remain consistently smooth during extended interactions.
Hidden Local Server
The bundled local server now launches hidden by default, eliminating the command prompt window during startup.
For developers and advanced users, the console can still be enabled at any time through the configuration file for debugging purposes.
Miscellaneous Improvements
Improved overall interaction reliability.
Various behavioural refinements throughout the AI runtime.
Additional polish across numerous NPC systems.
Development continues at a rapid pace, and we're incredibly excited about what's coming next. We're not quite ready to share more just yet, but we look forward to revealing what we've been working on in the near future.
Thank you again to everyone supporting Los Santos Alive by sharing feedback, bug reports, ideas, and clips. Your support continues to shape the future of the project.
